Oh my god. I’m literally trembling in anger. Fuck that stupid head knight and cardinal.
Quoted from the Noveupdates forum for the novel:
“On the way to Jeremy's wedding, Shuli was attacked and killed by bandits. They weren't random bandits but knights (who cooperated) and mercenaries who disguised themselves as bandits. This was led by Captain Abington, who was also disguised as a bandit to assassinate Shuli. It is said that Shuli was regarded as dirty/dishonorable by the Neuvansteins, including the knights.
Shuli's dead body was in a horrific state. After searching the whole mountain, her body was found in a scum pit underneath a waterfall. Her body was cut up into many pieces and scattered all over. There were missing parts. The head was barely found. They had to gather the rotting pieces and put them together.”

I just binged this and....what the absolute fuck? I’m not sure what upsets me more: everyone not telling Estelle anything or Emel’s actions. Why the fuck did Roy not tell Estelle about Emel being the Marquis? Is he an idiot? If they’re both partaking in high society, a meeting is inevitable. Not telling her that information was literally setting her up for failure, which it DID. His bullshit loyalty to Emel ended up harming Estelle. Furthermore, it’s so stupid how everyone doesn’t tell her anything to “protect” her. It’s counterproductive!! If she’s really a member of the Castielle household, then she has as much right as anyone else to the information that literally everyone BUT her knows. And Emel. Stupid, foolish, and frustrating Emel. As a Marquis, there’s no way he wouldn’t be aware of the rumours surrounding him and Iris. There were so many other ways to go about his relationship with Estelle, but of course, he chose the worst fucking one. I’m glad Estelle is finally putting a stop to everyone’s bullshit. And fuck that bitch Iris. And Riddle.
Zeon > literally any other supporting character.

And this is all putting aside the age gap, of course. He watched her grow up and now he’s, all of sudden, romantically involved with her? That’s really fucking weird, and it’s gross. Why can’t these types of stories feature a NORMAL relationship between the MC and bodyguard/subordinate who’s looked after them since they were young? I’ll continue reading because I like seeing Estelle happy, but this relationship is still a little uncomfortable to read about, LOL.

Its only 7 years tho. Not such a big age gap... Of course it seems big when we are talking about kids but they are adults.
Also it was kind of obvious from the begining that they will be the main ship. ╮(^▽^)╭
Sure it was wierd to give credit to this ship back then because Emiel was 18 and Estelle was 11 - it would have been quite sick from Emiel to feel that way towards her. But we were able to see their pure feelings of care and kindness - how they were both unaware of the seeds of affection in their hearts, yet they held each other precious. And these pure feelings somehow eased the original tension in the reader. Bc we have seen that there was nothing wrong in what they did. Only later did they realise how their feelings developed to something else. ♡
The only unsettling thing here is what the princess wants to achieve and how sneaky she became and what magic did she use to get confidensial information on Estelle!!! THAT ungratefull friend-traitor is so evil and shamless to use such dirty techniques!!!

I’m enjoying this a lot, but I’m not too fond of Kuhn having this ultimatum where he and Sienna can only be together if she gives up her throne. He’s witnessed her growth; there’s no reason not to believe that she’s capable of being an empathetic ruler who strives for change, as Dian does. And I hope Sienna can build a relationship with her father. Perhaps him showing her the tree when she was younger was his way of trying to be affectionate? Idk. I just want her to experience more things and to gain more allies and friends.

I couldn’t help but laugh out loud when Lady Yvette forgot that MC’s mother was dead. This story is such a gem! The MC is likeable and hilarious, the ML has a great personality, and the drama isn’t too excessive or overdone (as of now). I picked this up randomly, not expecting to like it as much as I did. I almost regret reading this so early.
I agree with what the other person said about this feeling like a wattpad story, and I finally figured out why. The lack of action and murder makes the plot seem...superficial? There isn't really a sense of urgency in the story. You would think that a story about the throne for an empire would involve more conflict, betrayal, and scheming- but there isn't. In regards to the throne, even if Sienna doesn't become emperor, she still lives a comfortable life in the palace. It feels as if there aren't any consequences to her getting the throne or not.
With that being said, the art is too gorgeous not to admire, and I like Kuhn and Sienna's romance. It isn't the usual enemies to lover that I'm used to, but their passionate love at first sight isn't so bad.
Maybe there will be more action and scheming in season 2
Ahh you're quite right. However, it seems we're mostly viewinf things from FL's perspectives and she's been living in a shelter her mother created.
Tbh it would be rly cool if her wish was to not be queen anymore and get out of that damn high arch and go somewhere else to live her live exploring the world and going on adventures in peace because she been living in a cage for so long ya know what I mean
Like if she found someway to get out of the place and go explore the world she would be free from all that responsibility and be able to live her life the way she want but tbh Ik that prolly won’t happen
I don't know if that's what she wants. Shw believes she's fittting to lead the country just like her dad. All the learning and exploring are for the sake of becoming better ruler. But I get what you mean ToT. All those responsibilities..
Ik it’s not what she wants :( I jus thought it would be rly cool for a change of scenery ya know
Totally, she's been raised that way and I think she can actually br a good leader with the right people beside her. I just really hate the mom and dad.
