I don't even believe it's their actual hair colour, it's just an art technic used instead of ugly blurring the whole face. N the flaw in your theory is that jy's mother has been looking for her lover the whole time and by now she should've easily found him if he was just in jail. N I think mo's dad is in a jail nearby or at least in a few cities away and is jailed since mo was a kid (should have found him a long time ago with that delay, even with a false identity). To add she has the help of Jian's grandpa even if sometimes they are not on the same wave length. N for the timeline and place, JY happens to live near Mo's city since they go to the same school and he hasn't move during childhood since he was always with zzx, and so is mo with she li. So it can be a possibility that there would be an adultery involved n they would be step bros but it's still very unlikely based on the info we have rn.
