Need to marinate this more, at least for 20ch because theres so many plot points that could happen.
Her origin, her scar/trauma, that mysterious hot curse, her relationship with the grey haired dude in the beginning, her swordsmanship, the concubines, the blonde knight who is the ex lover of the princess and their kid- him not being a commoner, the replacement for the acting empress, and if she actually gets replaced and he searches for her

But i know it won't - i hope he (ml) moves on, and marries another woman and falls in love again, while she sees him and realises her regret for him who tried to get back with her. I want that angst route.
Like if she really loved that other guy then sure, have your happy ending with the other guy instead, but those recollections-of her memories - it seems like she's following the words of her mother saying that she should repay him back. So idk what's on with that. And some scenes it looks like she likes him but some scenes it looks like shes burdened by the request.
I understand her unwillingness to be in the capital or assume the role of duchess because of the burdens that come with it. Even the 2 characters said to be wary of the capital and that its a battlefield/cage. And she wants to protect her daughter from the bad environment, thats why she didnt even send her to be the heir of the household.
She still loves ml, but his absence really scarred her. For her to have lost her lover and her daughters father, for the villagers to deem her negatively, to be able to support them both financially. She went through hard times with her daughter so she made her own bubble of independency
Sadly the ML is a green flag, sure he is jealous but he didnt enforce her to love him back, he aint kidnap her or blackmail her like all the other mls xD he upheld his promise to her to the point he made a pact with a dragon and came back from the dead. He just too loyal, and instead of burdening her he'll probably die from the bond.
Also that reminds me,.how tf did his letters switch with another route/person? Was it an actual mistake?

In depicting the severity of human nature and trauma- forgot the title but its the guy who has a scar in his left eye area and the fl who went back in time.
In real life it's really like that. people and their experiences arent only white and black but in numerous shades in-between. Some of these experiences cause us to think or act irrationally or depict the world in a certain light.
Him idolising her was a result of his experiences and when he saw reality it kind of shattered. If he was 'normal' he wouldve just went "ahh she was just normal shes not a saint nevermind" but he's not.
She wasnt as strong as he thought. He wasnt the type to surrender to death and he thought she wasnt, but she was. He didnt really see her for what she was but what HE 'thought' she was.
She really was naive, spoiled(in a particular way). But she is pure of heart and would've developed emphathy and understood the pain common people went through
Agggh need to marinate this more
But really, for once i hope this or another webtoon doesnt let the FL end up with ogML but another guy instead in these types of stories
Sometimes theres just too much trauma in the relationship that it feels weird seeing them together happy.
--(the common ones are them not actually happy in the relationship and there is a mistress on the side in the and they immediately introduce the actual ML of the story in the beginning. Almost never do we see the leads go through rough patches for a long time, separate, recover, and them getting romantic partners. Usually they go back to each other)

Yup its humanly complex. Alot of people have an issue with that and i understand- lotta peeps want something ideal, something not as complicated, something beautiful and nice.
They dont want to escape from reality from a hobby- in this case to a webtoon that is based on reality and human complexity as ptsd or trauma. Romance readers esp want a smooth road for the couple with a little drama here and there.
Though sometimes it does feel like the authors and readers are romanticising abuse and trauma so it does feel weird to follow stories like this ( ̄ ̄||)

Why he was so adamant to her not going to the meeting, even he insulted her in the process. Hopefully she gives them some common sense because those are some dull-ass people

Because his family is full of jerks who’s talk badly about her since she rejected his proposal and he didn’t want her to be around them. He’s terrible at communication but he ultimately wanted to protect her while not wanting to explain why he didn’t want her there. Since telling her why would hurt her too. :/

Its the climax of the story
Also pls to anyone who wants to see abuse and her being so down and having abuse marks, read the novel instead. I felt conflicted at first but now i believe it was for the best.
I think the adaptation team realised how much abuse and body harm was romanticised in the novel, like thousands of other FL in k-novels.
Always needed to be abused so we could feel bad for the fl and see her 'broken self' be eventually fixed back by the ml.
No matter what, the story still makes sense. If not, then just imagine what happened in the novel and think it was actually that.

And its not like they sanitized the story, she still faces verbal and physical abuse, complicated family dynamics with her own and in-laws, depression, being stuck in the story and things turning as they did even if she did some effort to change things up. So its not a disappointing adaptation
Sure she doesnt have scars and bruises since they healed, but she looks unwell regardless
Why was the chapter so short TT also felt like a season end so had to double take
