Don't let the tags fool you: this is maybe 30% comedy and fluff, and 70% about the characters learning to become better versions of themselves while going through very relatable issues. When I started reading this a few hours ago, I just wanted something soft and fun about two guys raising a baby and getting together in the process. Instead, I've ended up crying multiple times. And it was the best kind of crying you can get while reading a story: the kind that makes you feel like you're learning something both about the characters and about yourself, and it leaves you feeling content and hopeful. I'm sad to see that it isn't really completed yet, because as a binge-reader I enjoy my stories best when I can read them in one go so I don't forget details, but I'm happy that I picked this up regardless. I'm impressed at how multidimentional all of the characters feel and I'm looking forward to the rest of their stories.
Perfect story to realize that the comments are back to! I really enjoyed the begining and how realistic the characters and their feelings felt, though it's a pity that the author included some of the genre's stereotypes slightly before/after they got together. I really enjoyed seeing the protagonist's struggles with his sexuality and I hope I can see more of that in webcomics. I think that it's important to show that not everybody can just /know/ and that sometimes it takes a little bit of figuring out, and that you WILL make mistakes in the process.
I really liked this one... too bad the author decided to create such a selfish grandpa that turned a happy ending into a bittersweet one. As someone who grew up with divorced parents (I know that's not exactly the case here), I really feel bad for those kids. It sounds horrible, but I wish the grandpa just died back then.
Spoiler
Seeing them break up again was the last straw for me. I can't for the life of me understand how some authors love melodrama and angst for the sake of angst so much, geez. I've lost way too much time reading about triangles, misunderstandings, breakups, etc. I'm just so bored and tired, let me rest.
Something tells me this wouldn't end well if it was longer, so I'm glad the author decided to stop with 2 chapters lol. Still, the art is so pretty!!
I don't know, they just had this fling and then the dude flew all the way to the other one's hometown. It was so fast-paced that it reminds me of IRL couples that rush into a relationship and then find out a couple of months later that they're not compatible or really into each other... I'll choose to think that they had their happy ever after though ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

"To yearn unwittingly breaks the willow vine". The massacre they did while translating that HURTS. It's such an important phrase, too. Also... Ah, what the hell is an "Ungui"...
Can't wait for one of our danmei TL fangroups to pick this up. We even have most of the translation done already if you just cross-check with the novel... Pretty sure 99% of the text was just taken from there when they adapted it into a manhua anyway. Like, it's fine if you're already familiar with the story because you can fill in the gaps pretty easily, but it must be so confusing if this is your first time reading it.
By any chance do you know where can I read the novel?
