sorry didn't mean to click the dislike. I think the black haired guy is a cop who went on a case, but started experiencing some flashbacks or trauma. Because of it, he was fired or suspended for a little bit to pull himself back together (I'm assuming) until his boss just texted to meet him the next day at the police station to be rehired. The black haired guy decided to end his day by going to the movies and had a conversation with a stranger which revealed a part of each character's nature. This is just my perception, but I hope it helps! :)
