The way he switches from slight panic to calm analyzation like some intense game of mind ping-pong while the most batshit, farm-based shenanigans happen in the background is far too entertaining. This is such a genuinely interesting read
Well, curiosity got a hold of me so here I was, thinking I would read this and laugh for a moment. So why did I end up feeling like rooting for him by the end of the first chapter?

As someone who owns chickens and reasonably fears my hens getting egg bound, this was a weird chapter for me.
Great to see that the author knows their stuff, though. I’m still thoroughly invested.
Well, now. The comments were right, this was a very good read.
It had that old BL flair to it without falling into repeating the same tired themes or being repetitive. It still took some familiar routes, but with its own personality strongly inlaid within. Certainly worth reading.
I kind of kept reading just to see the black haired guy get messed with, and while I’m glad that indeed happened… he didn’t actually go through any real character development, still didn’t listen to the other guy’s wants and simply got what he wanted in the end. I understand not wanting to label a relationship, they’re adults after all. But the open ending is simply unsatisfying for a story.
Also I want justice for the longer haired guy.
There is actually way more plot here than I expected, plus the art is super cute and pleasant. Came for the tig ol’ biddies, will be staying for the worldbuilding.
Absolutely worth.
I didn’t notice it until I reread the chapter, but I love that he becomes so flustered that despite his usual colorful vocabulary, he can only muster a “this… fucking… flower man” in his own mind.
These characters are written very, very well.
