Does anybody have any reccs for a supernatural straight romance or BL where one of the characters isn’t human? To specify, I really mean “does not look human and/or does not know how to act human”
I love a good supernatural story, but half the time, the “monster” is just a guy in a suit who is every part human apart from maybe some horns sometimes.
I kind of kept reading just to see the black haired guy get messed with, and while I’m glad that indeed happened… he didn’t actually go through any real character development, still didn’t listen to the other guy’s wants and simply got what he wanted in the end. I understand not wanting to label a relationship, they’re adults after all. But the open ending is simply unsatisfying for a story.
Also I want justice for the longer haired guy.
There is actually way more plot here than I expected, plus the art is super cute and pleasant. Came for the tig ol’ biddies, will be staying for the worldbuilding.
Absolutely worth.
I didn’t notice it until I reread the chapter, but I love that he becomes so flustered that despite his usual colorful vocabulary, he can only muster a “this… fucking… flower man” in his own mind.
These characters are written very, very well.
Might be a long shot, but does anyone have any reccs for a manga set around the 40’s? A couple decades earlier or later is fine, but preferably no later than the 80’s, and chock full of slang and old phrases. The genre doesn’t matter, I’m just looking for a fun reference for writing an older character.
Dude couldn’t settle on a position and just kept flipping that guy like he was a rotisserie chicken.
I was fully convinced we were going to watch this guy straight up die in the middle there. How nothing ruptured is beyond me, props to him, I guess
Call me crazy, but seeing a dick that wasn’t drawn to look “perfect” or “pretty” for a change was insanely refreshing.
The size however… holy mother of nature’s battering ram. All hell is about to break loose, and by “hell”, I mean that poor dude’s ass.
“Corrupt cop and unabashed hedonist” in the description REALLY caught me off guard during my casual browsing…
Anyhow, would anyone like to tell me if this is worth a read, in their opinion? Feel free to over-explain why.
I’ve never read a story that deliberately abuses clichés to this extent, and yet for all of its comedic predictability, it has some of the most out of pocket punchlines and unbelievably screen-shot worthy dialogue.
Go find something in your ‘I want to read’ list.
To any who need a reason to stop searching and to actually use your damn list. This is it. This is your sign. Read away.
The panel of his strained and tensed hand leading into a panel where his hand is relaxed, laying softly at the other guy’s back? Somehow, that alone made it feel way worth keeping up with all of this.
