Even from what we see in other manhwas we know how cruel those rich cock-sucker leech of a people is. That "thing" that stained MC's precious clothes is quite a known man because of their family right? If MC rejected in a place full of people and that thing causes a ruckus, there would be rumors circling in the country about the ruckus of the two of them, and we can see right that his father is also there? We don't know what might his (Mc) father do to him (Mc) if he was involved in such a mess because their family name would also be mentioned or get involved, because that's how the rich people world works, right? Also if you read the chapter again, we can see that MC glanced at the bodyguard and they locked eyes together, MC said that the bodyguard followed him and if there was anything to happen to him, he can defend himself, and hopefully the bodyguard notices something is off so he could take action.
Please do analyze the situation first before judging the character's actions. Thankfully the people were occupied with that celebrity or just someone that's why they didn't notice the act of the btch of brother-in-law, but if he made the decision to reject the brother-in-law and the brother-in-law decides to create a mess, he'll be the one at disadvantage because people around them would look at the commotion and as we know leeches likes to side with people with more power, and who's side was that? It's the brother-in-law's side right? He would be brought into a mess and after that, we know that the person who adopted him a.k.a the father is very abusive, and if he knows MC got into that mess, what would he do? Abuse MC again, slap him for causing a mess, for dragging the family name into a trouble.
