first time finishing until the final arc. was a great read although kou empire arc was hard to read (deadass full of rage the entire arc). and, well, the ending was so rushed, undeniably, and the suddenly futuristic development was too much, but at the same time, it wasn't that bad?? the airship and phone thingy was definitely out of place, but the high rise trading company building was the most unnecessarily out of place lmfao.
anyways.
the last arc wasn't THAT bad, but it was definitely rushed. what bothers me the most is just... i can't understand arba's intention. at all. i mean, i can kind of understand sinbad and david's intention of acquiring such power, but... arba? is she bad or not? like, she was against david, but then she worked with david (or at least someone with a connection to david, which is sinbad). her obsession on... ill ilah (i think?) is so strange like... what is there in ill ilah? why did she go through such extend in the kou empire by possessing people's body? and then, after being kicked out of hakuei's body, she just becomes... an angry doll or some shit. she just lost all her insane obsession. she essentially lost her villainous charm and became an empty character. tbh, it was pretty anticlimatic, considering what she was capable of doing to the kou empire and beyond.

well, it was still a good read. i'd say the kou- ren siblings might as well be my favorite characters lmfao especially kougyoku and kouha. i just love gyoku so much like she's like the most princess-y character in the franchise but at the same time, she's so strong and adorable. kouha is also like a spoiled sassy guy, but idk i just love him so much. my least favorite hero would hakuryuu tbh he pissed the shit out of me from his very first appearance until the kou empire arc, but him in last arc is just *chef's kiss* immaculate.

ahhh rereading it was such a journey! esp since i stopped reading after future arc. tsuna was the type of mc i hated, but his growth was outstanding! seeing how he gathered the people in the end to fight bermuda, i really got a glimpse of how he was capable of creating the strategy to fight byakuran; and how he grew to become a capable boss in the end. tbh, i would love to see a point where he actually "surrenders" himself and becomes the actual boss of vongola, but this is a pretty decent ending too; still the indecesive tsuna who has grown a lot.
and each arc are better than ever! i mean, meh, daily life arc is so boring, but the other arcs are *chef's kiss* lmao and then i thought that future arc would be the climax of the climax, since it was a long arc as a whole and also the fact that they were fighting for their future self. but then the next arc came close, and the last arc was a pretty good (at least decent oof) conclusion. vindice, in theory, is such a cool lot. but why bermuda's real appearance built like a lizard with a gym subscription LMFAO that was anticlimatic ngl. and the conclusion of the arc was a bit... eh? but otherwise splendid arc!
however, one thing i noticed was... the lack of strong cool women tbh :/ 11yo me hated haru (bc i dont like that she likes tsuna and that she was just hella weird in daily life arc) and chrome (internalized mysogyny. idk), while i forgot the rest of the women. now that i reread it, the only female character i actually like (despite still feeling a bit frustrated sometimes) is chrome. even then, she's like a damsel in distress a lot of time. i feel like the other girls aren't explored as much. kyoko and haru don't have fighting ability, so they were like... eh, alright. and kyoko's oblivion is sometimes annoying. i'm still not really fond of haru, but she's decent ig. and then there's bianchi, who's a decent character in premise, but never got to be explored. she always ended up as babysitter for the kids or the girls, even her tyl. and then there's lal, whose personality is colonello. and then there's mm that i HATED so much. like she just bitch around about chrome for no reason even though SHE herself is a useless mf??? like in the last arc, she's the only kokuyo that lost her watch in, like, the first battle for no reason. i don't even think i've ever seen her fight. and then there's bluebell, who is also a childish little brat whose personality is byakuran.
well, i feel like i'm too harsh on the female characters, and yes, there are other male characters whose personality is worshipping other (like genkishi's entire personality is byakuran), but i wished that they have a more interesting female character whose personality isn't damsel in distress, lovestruck, useless female sidekick, or kind/nurturing.
also, i just realized that khr is prolly the only action/shonen manga with literally no character's death lol. like, how many deaths are there? how many of them are dying, only to come back to life? like, i believe lancia faced a near death experience, but then he came to help tsuna. and then squalo was supposed to be dead by being eaten by sharks, but he stayed alive. and the ones that died, like yamamoto's dad, genkishi, byakuran, uni, and gamma? they died in a paralel future, and that paralel future would most likely not repeat itself since we learned in the last arc that byakuran no longer desires for a world domination, and since they defeated byakuran, the effect of millefiore was erased, allegedly causing the dead to come back to life. well, there's also daemon, but mans is an overdue grandpa he should just die in peace tbh. that arc doesnt count. that arc is just fancy exorcism.
overall, great read! i'm glad i decides to go back to read it. i love this manga so much; back then until now.
