tbh, the start of the story was really good. it was interesting and full of suspense; everyone was suspicious and it was lowkey stressful. however, i think the characters are.... bland, for lack of better words. they have no purpose outside of driving the plot going... which is unfortunate bc i think the characters and their relationships could've been made more interesting.
not you, robert. fuck you. oh my god he kept getting on my nerve tbh. his obsession is so weird i fear he should've been the one taking the psychopath test bc what THE FAWKKKKK IS THAT STALKERISH BEHAVIORRRRRRR. he lowkey feltike a character that was made for. uh. decoy..? like created like that so you would be suspicious at him.
honestly, up until the climax, it was interesting. but the end felt rushed, and in an attempt to rush the ending, they focus more on getting the plot forward rather than getting the characters time to shine. and yet some parts of the information felt repetitive..? might've overthinking this but when they were bringing up the same topic but on different POV, it felt like they explained from the very start rather than getting straight to where the new POV has any meaning..? idk how to explain it.
god what happened to baron genuinely made me sad too. it felt like they just sweep it under the rug too it makes me so sad. thinking back of the last moment jonathan talked to baron too.. it genuinely makes me wanna cry.
and GOD everything that happened to kister..... i wish they write a closure for him bc an implied, open-end like this after that dramatic read makes me wanna punch the wall. i wish there was some extras or sumn for closure ahhhhhhh!!!
overall, yeah, good read. good plot. mid execution. lowkey shallow emotions. could've been better but it was definitely a good speedrun read.
the typa read that i would devour without question if i read this back in 2017 fr.. it was fun. started silly, but then it got serious. pretty interesting. a bit (very) cringey tho but got me hooked up surprisingly.
i do agree.... cherry got on my nerve sm man. esp with everything that happened with love's past. cherry lowkey isnt any better than zero tbh with how manipulative he was. idk why he was treated any differently than another manipulator when the whole premise was about a guy running away from his trauma of being manipulated by a guy? yet another manipulator got his own happy ending?
cherry blamed everything that happened to king on love, but did he seriously forget that the only reason he got to stick to king in the first place was bc of LOVE? did he forget king basically was dead set on not letting cherry join, but LOVE was the one that insisted??? also it wasnt ideal, but king getting dragged into all of that and ended up with cherry was literally bc of LOVE too, if he wanna say everything is love's responsibility lol. him being kidnapped wasnt even love's fault in the first place lets be fucking honest ? it was his cray brother's doing basically locking him up in the hospital, and then all of the other is lion's doing. yet he wanna blame it all on love? like fr? like damn girl if you really wanan blame it on the source, blame your fucking self and your fucking family for developing on insane drugs like that man. everything wouldn't have gotten to that extent if your stupid family just didnt create that drugs and you and your people didnt distribute those drugs man. oh, another thing. it wouldn't have escalated if cherry didnt fucking beat up the random bikers gang that were actually THEIR AIDS! but he wont be able to think about that at all, right? narcissist.
my thought on cherry at first was lukewarm at best, aside from him being obnoxious like with the zeta guy. but the end ? after disappearing and suddenly acting all righteous like a hero ? dawg go kys actually you have no rights to tell love to kill himself.
hyoun stronger than me bc if bitches killed my lover and then beg me to spare them from misfortune only to then basically ship me with my lover's younger sister i would've ended it all tbh.
this was really good tho. i love them sm. the art is sawr good too and the uncensored art!?!?!?!?!? oh i am FEASTINGGGG!!!!!! reincarnation stories make me feel a certain way but idk i kinda love them sm. it feels like they both acknowledge that taehyuk is the same person of the past but also a new person altogether??? idk i just love them sm. the ending felt kind of rushed tho..?? like i feel like they could've dig more into the eunuch and the brother..??? idk that part didnt exactly sit well with me with how quick it was handled. and we never really get to know more about the other dragon :( i feel like at least learning more about the other dragon would've been interesting
also hmmmmm not to undermine how villainous hyun was, but i kinda think its funny that the whole shenanigans dragged for centuries bc of the eunuch lol like why would he do that? what did he expect from killing taehyuk? did he think the king would magically be normal..??? and then he blamed taehyuk for his generational misfortune all bc of his silly little plan lol

uke is so pretty i got distracted holy moly
