Probably bc of short story so the pace is kinda meh though the origin of the revenge is so unserious, the uke literally saying "he prob hates alpha" and the one who twisted that and spread the rumours was his friends mf lmao, was he even trying to respond with saying that's not true. The world building is good, the setting is good it's not from real world but i see the author do research about how skeptical people about cars are and carriage is still widely used which is interesting and how misogynistic society still. But i just can't get pass how layla and matt saw e/o with Matt already of legal age. If they meet before that I'd try to look pass it, but seriously he's 18 and Lyla is 12 that's a toddler in my eyes. I can stomach black flag/red flag but ig this kind of trope where the male lead is alr an adult is one of my ick. This manhwa/novel ruined the "green flag" image of the ML! Be prepared of manipulative seme .... And like you will be super pissed at him and he's kind of a groomer!!! He knew all along and he kinda get off from that power dynamic he had over Wooyeon thou he would later apologize for being manipulative and work as a "spy" for wooyeon's mother, despite his sorry ass imo it's still wont satisfy the redemption for the ML and the author downgrade Wooyeon's "strong" personalities somehow when it's close to ending, it's as if wooyeon forgives him easily— it's kind of ooc as readers saw how wooyeon h8 alpha due to their "behavior" yet he's somehow soft towards this asshole ml, yet it's another yaoi cliche
