It could a culture thing? Like normal fat and bigger build bodies that are fit could be described under the same description because both types of bodies are bigger than the avg person in korea.

Plus, having more muscle on men in korea is seen as more slutty and less desirable to the female gaze in their country (they tend to prefer toned bodies w/ some muscle). An example of korean netizens shaming someone w/ a more muscular body would be Wonho from monsta x. It's very very unfortunate but it's a thing I've noticed a lot over the years.
So because very muscular bodies and fat bodies are both seen as undesirable and bigger than what is accepted in their society, using fat to describe both types of bodies is quicker and easier.
Its still hella funky to shame someone for being fit/healthy.

The response I wrote is me theorizing why the s/o character or the side characters calling the ml fat when he looks very healthy and muscular Σ( ￣□￣||). Because as a vietnamese person, if someone is muscular, I know they wont shame them for being too fit (idk maybe its just diff for the people around me)???? Plus, I wasn't going to tackle a topic about Asia as a whole in that paragraph which is already too long... Like this one. Maybe it's cause I'm an Illustrator so it's my job but all the mistakes really stood out to me. Like some hands weren't drawn and body part were incorrectly placed or misplaced

ngl i thought the same thing :skull: seeing a lot of comments how the art is so good but it's really not; it's actually very stiff and lazy(?). the main focus is the face which isn't a bad thing, but if you're going to have an artistic face with that kind of anatomy... yikes.

yes i agree the artist is good i feel with drawing a portrait of a character, but when it comes to creating a whole manhua it is a bit rough with the dynamic drawings. i feel like if they had time to draw each panel that it would be a lot better but they probably want to get it out quickly since the story is really what’s important as long as art is ok. sorry if my english is kinda choppy

your english is fine! i agree if the artist put more time in they would be able to get the same effort below the face. i hope they take it slow and improve in the future.
