Just because his relationship with death and the ppl sorrounding him is a bit complex, and the novel would have more time describing everything. He's also an interesting character, I see him as a person with strong moral compass but does things logically cold that sometimes he also seems a bit evil or extreme. It would be great to look more into his personality on longer format writing
