Bro it's irritating. No matter how many times you show them having sex it doesn't change the fact that he is kept locked away in someone's house. This is literally entrapment they are both toxic.
One wants to be abused and the other is an abuser.
He asks everyday to be let out and let go. Every time they have sex he says no, wait and stop. This IS an abusive relationship. This is like the quickest case of Stockholm I've ever seen it happened in like fucking hours.
He hasn't thought about any part of his life that doesn't revolve around his abuser not friends family or even his job.
And if someone wants to argue that point another example on how dangerous this is shows during the eating scene.
He is literally shaking because his body is exhausted acknowledges "maybe he's exhausting me so much so I don't have energy to escape."
Then next few panels it shows him struggling to even hold a fucking fork to feed himself with. And he let's himself be fed instead and then turns around and feeds the abuser.
You're telling me that the little bodily energy you have to solve a basic need like food you couldn't muster up for yourself but you'll readily struggle to do it for him?

I like jean but he's being hella overbearing and irritating in this situation I would find this relatively okay if he was like an older brother to her but he's not he hasn't seen her I'm years and that's clearly not how he views her.
It's irritating and overbearing and they keep acting like she doesn't have a will of her own

I think he basically is her older brother, given they took care of each other on the streets? That's the only thing I can personally think of as to why he'd be so crazy possessive. I think he's also really afraid of losing a person he thought was dead for years again. Like...he just got her back so he's terrified? And honestly, I don't think it's quite certain how he views her just yet. There are a lot more ties and bonds than just familial, romantic, and platonic. Some are far stronger than any of those three.
But that being said, he is really aggravating lmao and all of this is just my personal take on what's happening.

I was originally all for jean being in the situation cause i thought it would be like her finally having family again I thought they would just have to re get to know each other. Instead it's kinda murky cause he's helping but he's also weaponizing his relationship and the fond memories with her to push his jealousy forward.
(Whether that jealousy is romantic or more envy since he's not as close to her as he was before is yet to be seen.)
I did kinda assume that he would be viewing her in a romantic way while she would be looking at him like a distant older brother tho. That's usually the direction most writers take it. But yeah.

Er... you mistake a perfectly legit reason for Jean to step in with "jealousy"? Jean has a perfectly logical reason for being so "meddling"! If she'd sooner or later get targeted by the tyrannical emperor, if she gets taken, tortured and interrogated she might be forced to snitch on his guild's involvement, getting Jean killed along with many others from the guild...

I haven't really seen his concern on his guilds involvement and the only time they mentioned the dangers for the whole guild was the once in this chapter.
Before this chapter how ever we have seen him display behaviour that I described as jealousy.
Jealousy doesn't always have to be a bad emotion it's just how someone chooses to display it. And as I stated above I don't know if it's romantic or because he feels robbed of his place in her life since she was taken away so young.
I believe if the guild was really his main concern (not to say it isn't a concern of his) he would have prioritized that over helping her by not accepting.
When I stated meddling i meant in things such as her engagement not the mission which also directly involved his life.
Also his concern for her when taken at face value is exactly that. Concern for HER he has displayed a concern for the guild but nowhere near the level of concern he displayed for her.
I made no mistake In my comment.

Hm, I think I understand your point a lot better know. I now think you're right in that he's definitely jealous, but I also think the redhead does have a few legit reasons to refuse to take a leap of faith and trust the girl's fiance: apart from his guild's safety if she were to be taken from the fiance's house and interrogated under torture, there's the fact that the fiance is allegedly one of the emperor's favored ones, who could turn against them and sell them to the emperor to gain even more favor (or a permanent supply of medicine) after using them to track down everyone who ever knew the mc's real identity, and anyone who might know she can heal the carlet disease (a disease whose "cure" would no longer be monopolized by the emperor if people knew that now a girl appeared that can also heal it). I mean, from the redhead's perspective, it's not absurd to think the girl's fiance might one day decide to chance sides, since he does stand to gain almost just as much, and with a lot less trouble, from just selling to the emperor all the info about the existence of girl, whose healing abilities can prove so dangerous for the emperor, since can "rob" the emperor of his monopoly over the "cure" (and thus, of much of his current power). I mean, I don't blame the redhead for not trusting him with her, nor with the leverage the fiance would have over the redhead himself if he kept the girl with him and then decided to use her, along with the redhead's own knowlege of her existence and of her unique healing ability, to threaten him with selling them both (as "the main among the unwanted witnesses that need to be erradicated") to the emperor.

I really like this but I find it irritating that she can learn anything from past and present but can't fight

Her vision abilities aren't really random in my opinion. I thought they were at first but a few of them seemed more planned such as the sewing scene or the Sherlock Holmes one.
I know she's a strategist I'm just saying that she can plan to channel anyone of them at any given time and we've seen that. She's doesn't have to be a fighter to channel one.
She was trash at everything she doesn't have a specialisation and that's what makes her range so broad and unique.
All I'm saying is that she wasn't a seamstress or a detective and she still channeled those people and it worked.
She could have done the same with the scene at the market but it was specially made for the male lead to rescue her when if you think about it she didn't really need it logically speaking.

Dude really put him in a cage. I really wanna see him find a way to get out and go escape the country like he planned too.
