Wow so the twins went outside even after all that traumatic past?? Did they not learn and perhaps be more careful like wearing a mask? I know they’re kids but like I worried for their safety. At least they were not in danger and actually met a good old man. Sorry if I’m being ruthless to the twins.
Plus it's moving too fast for the twins to just all of a sudden want to go out, trauma isn't something that just goes away all nilly quick ._. there better be something good with this series or it's flaws might lose some readers
The problem with pstd is that sometimes you will think that your already okey but the truth your really not. You can go out and laught your ass out then suddenly you will find yourself drown by your own tears...
So i think there's nothing wrong with the twin going scene,.. Coz i too go out a lot and havIng fun with my friends
Its not like a normal disease which Is always present at all time... I think there's a bit misconception about trauma... Like hell dude its not like we always locked ourself in our room which is totally pathetic..tsk

I think that you are misunderstanding something here. The twins aren't any less traumatized by the events of their past, they are young and resilient. Through you seem to think they aren't showing signs of their trauma. They still cling to the ML, even when they are showing kindness to others. They still tremble even when trying to be brave. Trauma doesn't mean the world that you live in just stops moving, it just means that it becomes harder to live in it. Some people are lucky, like the twins, to find someone that is willing to share your world in all its terror with you, and for others it's just easier to shut out the world all together. PTSD and trauma affect everyone differently.
From what I understand about PTSD, it's a trauma that became embedded, so it's physical and mental. With any trauma, whether from a person's own illness or something coming from the outside once mental it'll need to be triggered. People can try to deal with things like anxiety for example. You don't get rid of it but you continue to treat and practice to prevent the issues it'll inflict on you physically... like use it to do something else or at least lessen the physical damage it'll cause to your body "sticky platelets, or high blood pressure, etc." Something that can't really be cured but overcome eventually... Sorry for the long writing... and I may be wrong since this is just from what I've been understanding so far.
No you're correct in this judgement. I know PTSD is a funny thing with how it works with triggers that lay all around us waiting to set off the next panic attack. It took me 2 years to cope myself over some triggers and still end up with issues if too many triggers get pressed at once. So I'm not saying their case is the same, but for them to be able to cope that quickly they'd have to have had counseling, meds, plenty of ample time to cope but you can see there was none of this you don't just simply snap your fingers and be all capable of coping with trauma.
Everything takes time, but what I was getting at was that it was much too fast. It took me years to get over fears before I could confront them and they were nothing as dark as what those twins had been subjected to. Yes everyone takes it differently, but time is something that takes even longer for children. That's the only reason I say there was a flaw in that, just the speed at which they were able to cope.
If you want to poke at my logic go for it, but my logic is from my own experience in this field. I like to see how other's conquer their "demons" and find their coping mechanism, but no one learns that system that quickly, no one. If they did they weren't human to begin with. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
Again coming from someone who has PTSD and a family with it, there are many ways to cope, but it still takes at minimum a year if you're strong as an adult, but multiple if not decades for a child to cope. The strength of the PTSD can make you take even longer, it just depends on how deep it cuts into you. It's not something you can just easily get over for the most part, but you are able to build walls and block out the bad, put up memory cautions around triggers, but that only helps so far and could even hurt you negatively in the long run.
That's just my view on PTSD there are other views, with how anxiety, stress, depression, and other mental handicaps jump on the ban-wagon to help bring you down. Also, I wasn't saying they weren't still showing signs just that all of a sudden they were willing to go out among so many people, when people were their main fear before they were rescued. They saw people as evil from how they saw it, but our ML was their knight in shinning armor in this sense.

I think there has to be 1 or more time skips in this to make actual sense in this case and I (possibly others) am just not aware of it yet and will be shown by the author in later chapters, hopefully. Either that or author is lacking in research about the issue as the story is going well and is pretty interesting so I don't think author is being lazy but lacks proper information.

Probably that, I'm honestly leaning more towards lazy or just didn't put too much into the thought just wanted the type of characters around to fit the plot. It's definitely got a good story flow it's just the one flaw that keeps bugging me with the twins and probably will keep pestering me until the author gives an answer lols

Your understanding of trauma is funny
