Yes, he died suddenly on the 19th of August 2020 from unknown/unrevealed causes. It was just one month after he turned 23. So now his manga Kimio Alive is forever incomplete </3
for anyone wondering since the last couple panels are missing, it is lian jue picking up the ring while having flashbacks of their rushed wedding in the past. he puts the ring on weiwei's ring finger and the flashback of their kiss shows up; and he kisses the comatose weiwei. as this happens, he says to him, "......I am, until death do we part." (referring back to the celebrate asking him in the beginning of the flashback, "whether in life or death, are you willing to... love him, respect him?") and then weiwei's pinky moves!!
however im not an actual chinese speaker so this may not be an accurate translation, but lian jue does say "......直至死亡将你们分开我愿意." (...... Zhízhì sǐwáng jiàng nǐmen fēnkāi wǒ yuànyì.) so if any actual chinese speakers wanna provide a better translation, please reply here!!
oh, I guess a more accurate translation would be "Until death does us part," (first speech bubble - he kisses weiwei) then "I will." (second speech bubble - he cradles weiwei's face and speaks to him)
i just cant believe how many times i dropped this just to binge it this time in 2 days. i find myself wishing to spend more time with them, or to go back in time to experience it all from the beginning. for the people who are struggling to continue reading, just force yourself to keep reading. this is hands-down one of my all-time favourites now. i adore them, and i will miss them so much.
