2. The seme deffo regresses or comes back whenever the uke dies.
What I think:
1. I think that the seme was a part/cause of the lab experiment, which is why he refused to talk about it or looks like he's on edge whenever it's mentioned.
2. I really want to believe that the reason he's keeping uke alive is because he loves him, but I have this feeling/ suspicion that he's only keeping him alive because he's tired of regressing

Idk but the novel that I read was kinda an illegal version, but I do know that An Ze or little mushroom terms his little spore as his “baby” in the novel (≧▽≦). Irl, spores are basically like childre or babies of mushrooms because it is what mushrooms use to spread or add more of their kind so basically a baby. I remember that in the novel I read that he said “Our whole life is dedicated to protecting our spore” “Im finding my spore” “i need to find my spore, need to find my baby”
My heart swells for uke. He deserves so much better. And the development of the seme? From an immature horny kid to a genuine caring man is such a great relief (hopefully I wouldn't wanna take that back ever ) I'm looking forward to more tbh, and I hope that forward in looking at will be happy w them being together.
