
Yeah, the uke is a prostitute and the story shows us the uke's vulnerabilty, his poverty, and the abuse/rape the uke goes through. The uke is trying to survive literally, he is a victim living on the margins of society. The seme starts becoming a proper responsible adult due to the uke. The seme shows the uke what being loved is, what satisfying sex is, and gets him out of that garbage place and out of the reach of the abusers.
Yeah, it's not a fluff story conveniently avoiding sensitive issues, but imho, there's love and affection between the seme and uke by the end of the main story.
