Nah, I'm right there with you! I love tropes normally , especially if they're done well, but this just felt rushed, boring and simple. It wasn't even a nice time waster, just frustratingly bland and shallow.
The fact that those government officials have no qualms psychologically attacking a 5 yo child is just plain abhorrent. Poor boy. I hope our MC manages to help him. Well, she might as well try helping Canglian too. Haha but I know she'd rather spend time with the lil, adorable Emperor.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I don't feel much chemistry with both leads. I mean, I love their friendship but it's hard for me to see them as a couple. I'd like to be proven wrong though.
Glad with the interactions in this volume. Quite mature and not a copy paste trope kinda thing. They're actual conversations T_T I missed reading stories where the characters actually feel like real people and not from a trope.
i think the Potential for them getting into a Much deeper relationship is there based on what is seen Volf goes to his mothers headstone what he Says about wanting to Protect her and about his SWORD from a nobles and Knights standpoint that he Wants to SWEAR his sword to not just the King and Country but to HER and the chapter he brings the Flowers and a few others throughout this he basically says to himself he loves her already and the simple fact he keeps holding her hands and not just a simple Grasp as a NOBLE guiding a woman but as a Man showing that HE is the one to protect her from Other males Quite the Opposite of the Scumbag Tobias she was intended to marry at the Beginning but then again i love taking Stories like this apart to some Extent lol . though i DO agree with you this was a Fresh breeze compared to the Vast majority of Manga being produced today that are full of Cliches and Moronic tropes .
I don't really like the art. The story made me stick to it though. A thoughtful seme!? One that worries for his partner during sex!? An uke who's not coy about wanting sex!? One who has realistic insecurities and can actually think for himself!?
That's it. That's basically what made me stay. A story with an actual seme who's not driven by his dick and an uke who is open about his affections. Simple.
Plus, BONUS, no sudden 2nd ML who suddenly cuts into our manhwa panels to think, "This kid is cute. Interesting."....I HATE THAT TROPE. I drop a story so fast when something like that finds it's way in.
I shall now roll-over and weep. I miss them already T_T I wanna see happy college version of them! Agh

I can't. I just can't stand the overabundance of girls. Every quest/arc and you get introduced with a new girl. All the damn time with these mangas. Rarely do I see a well thought out story with actual good characters. The blushing, the stuttering mess of girls just AGH
literally its so annoying when authors do this like are yall that desperate to have like 20 women around you all the time. Its like they cant survive without having women in the plot . Story just keeps rolling down the hill each time a woman is added and dont get me wrong im all for romance but isnt 1 enough??? The recepitonist pisses me off too like stop tryna get wit a dude that clearly got other piorities.
