To think this is tame compared to the novel. Derrick was so maddening. Brainwash isn't even a good defense. That witch worms her way into footholds in their psyche that are already there and enlarges it to be this ugly, disgusting thing. So, all this? This thing about him still thinking of Yvonne, that's all him (personal opinion ok but i believe it down to my soul). He's always obsessed about his lost sister. We know a large portion of it stems from guilt. BUT STILL. THIS scene for me is so unforgivable. He saw it happen. Penelope wad dying and Yvonne was still the forefront of hid mind. Vile, irredeemable asshole.








I appreciate that the guy doesn't automatically know how to take care of her. Also appreciate how he didn't have ready food like a proper adult would have (≧▽≦) joking aside, too early to tell but I like it so far.
