victims of abuse rarely report because of fear of retribution. Also often times they are told they will never be loved or taken care of by anyone other than their abusers. Its as much a mental prison as it is a physical prison. What you're saying is the very definition of victim blaming.

It wouldn't have helped anyway, the truth is, the law in Korea sucks, look it up, cuz they have a lot of criminals that get away with what they do, some rapists only get like a few months of jail time

Both marinathrace and Kawaii_70 are right. As a victim and survivor of child abuse, I can confirm the mental inability to report it. I couldn’t even tell my own mother for fear that she’d get abused even more and worse than me.
And then with the corrupted criminal “justice” system of South Korea, it’s still a — unfortunately — patriarchal society where men can get away with almost anything. It’s such a massive social problem, but thanks to the Me Too movement that has sparked in the USA, it has reached South Korea and Japan and there have already been women marches in Korea to stop the social, mental, and physical abuse of men against women. Japan is still — sadly — very slow on this matter however due to their conservative society that’s still stuck in the pass, but no matter how slow the change is, change is still good cause it’ll eventually speed up once the youth and future generations get sick of it and implode

well these were just my thoughts during the moment and I didn't know that child abuse worked in ways such as this one so sorry if I offend or triggered anyone

no no no nooo youre fine! you can't blame yourself for not knowing! It's not like everyone is naturally aware of everything and anything. And you do make a point, that even now, after so many years since then, I even think people need to speak up more about any type of abuse. But the thing that people should understand is that everyone is different and handles certain situations differently according to their own emotions and experiences and the brain just works in numerous ways and is a wonder of its own. Which is why its more harder for children to speak up because they really haven't lived long enough to experience things yet and the brain clearly isnt fully developed at all. You also have to consider mental trauma that may or may not linger as well as the extent and size of that trauma.
