At some point in the story Ilay thinks that Taeui ran away from him and took it as a betrayal. Taeui was actually about to head back to Ilay but it was too late and Ilay SA him, again and doesnāt even give him a chance to explain what happened

Yes he gets a bit better again after that but mostly in the side stories. Still not good enough for what I personally hoped for, but itās not like they end up with other people or anything. They both clearly only want each other even if they (mostly Ilay) has a hard time coming to terms with it.

omg i'm sorry i started a war and left everyone. taeui gets kidnapped for a WHILE and when they meet up again ilay mistakes taeuis actions as running away and he doesn't like that. He has sweet moments in the follow up novel but this is pretty much it for this story
