Like I was thinking his worries are parents-like and then this lady suddenly said jealousy. I was like “huh?” And now I’m reading the comments, it isn’t just me who think this is more parents-like situation rather than jealousy.
Might be a translation error, but how different would it be? For years, I only see slight differences between the scanlation team and official one. There sometimes a different nuance of how things being said, but still the word doesn’t go so far in terms of meaning.

After 50 chapters, I decided to drop this. In actuality, this one is good. But I just can’t tolerate 2 things. (Stop reading if you didn’t want a spoiler)
First, this is definitely a reverse harem. I might not hate the genre itself, but at early chapter it has been said by the FL— “why this novel? why not the reverse harem one?” So I thought the author was dropping hint LOL. After I read it, there are already 3 other males who found FL attractive (one of them even bluntly said he didn’t want FL to ended up with the ML). So yeah, I lost the spark. I feel cheated maybe? ╥﹏╥
Second, this is simply my preference, but I really hate FL who think forgiveness as something too simple to do. Like the ML have been targeted his whole life, even his mother was killed and branded as traitor. For his whole life, he knows— either him or them that being killed. And this FL comes and said “no, he’s just a kid” towards the young bro who actually came to kill the ML (not his first rodeo). I kinda hoping the ML and FL work together to make the tyrant appear more nicely in public but would still killed/cut off an arm or leg of their enemy. But I guess the author planned to make the FL a saint-like; a FL that save the ML by kindness.
So yeah, those are my reason to drop this.
But honestly, if you read my comment, I’d still recommending you to read this. The FL is actually kinda realistic, because for once she missed her old life and still shouted out her wish to come back home. And the comedy part on this one is good too, I have a good laugh to some parts.
That’s why, my reasons to drop this are kinda “not so my cup of tea”, therefore if you okay with those tea I’m pretty sure this one will be a great read for you. Happy readingヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
lol, first- Since you dropped us, you wouldn’t know, but it’s not herem. There’s only one love interest.
Second- not killing a child (legal minor) isn’t the same as having easy forgiveness. There are plenty of countries that give lesser sentences to minors even if they’ve committed murder. That’s just because many people choose to stand by their moral principle that those who are young lack the emotional capacity and life experiences to reason with the same standards as an adult. And therefore they should not be held to the same standards as an adult, much in the same way we don’t held someone mentally ill to the same standards as someone sane. So she isn’t necessarily forgiving easy, she’s just wanting him to not murder, a child, and not shed the blood of his own family member.
I think the word “harem” is indeed a bit too broad from my perspective. I didn’t mean it as “FL marry all of them”. What I mean is I enjoyed seeing only one man to one woman, no extra. I prefer it when the other side character found their own love that is not the ML or FL. The fact that the male servant shows his interest on her and even bluntly said didn’t want FL to be with ML speaks a lot for me. That’s why when she said it’s not a harem novel, I thought that male servant will take interest in the female maid and even better dating her. And the deer elves one, I haven’t read much and might be wrong, but I feel like he would also attempt to chase after the FL. So yeah, it’s my fault for using harem word lol, when all I meant was no extra feeling from the side characters.
And for the lesser sentences, I know how law give it to minors. But the problem is, for this very specific minor, he is a repeated offender. Lesser sentences is given to a first timer. From what I know, the intention for giving lesser sentences to minor is because, first, as I said its their first crime, second, they didn’t know any better (didn’t exactly understand the implications). But in here, it’s been said the young bro is a repeated offender and he definitely knew what “killing” means and he still go for it. Hence I said easy forgiveness.
… I think I failed to communicate what I was trying to get across. Since you already said you’re dropping this I assume spoilers won’t matter. The servant and the elf were indeed looking at her with interest however that interest was never romantic at any point in time. Both of them had darker more sinister intentions towards her. The idea that it could have been romantic interest was nothing but a red herring that the author tossed our way to miss, direct our thoughts.
Secondly, it was never about forgiveness. Because it was never about the little brother. It was always about the male lead and how the female lead didn’t want the male lead to become tainted. Because she respects him and cares about him she doesn’t want him to be someone who kills a child let alone his own family member. She made that choice entirely to protect the male lead from something that could later torment him, or caused him to feel remorse, regret, dirty, whatever
Ah I see. So it goes that way.. If those two indeed have sinister intentions, I believe it gets a bit more interesting than the simple love rivalry.
And oh I’m sorry. I talk about forgiveness because I though your comment is focused on it..
So in my original comment, I already said the author intended to make a saint-like FL. A ML that is saved and changed by FL’s kindness. As you said, the FL is trying protect the ML from whatever that will tormented him or caused him remorse, dirty, or regret, and that’s what I called a saint-like FL.
I’m okay with ML not killing the young bro on the spot, but I still wish for him to be punished in other way. It’s doesn’t have to be execution or anything bloody and dirty. They can just bringing evidences of the attack to the King, so young bro got reprimanded. Maybe gets some allowance cut or ban from socializing (like party) for a month. Simple thing like that.
I understand the FL didn’t want the ML to be tainted and become the tyrant, but I feel like there are soooo many ways to make this “tyrant level decreased” works without being someone who completely forgive his attempt-killer. In the end, the last line, that made me drop this, is how this interesting pair turn to a saint-like FL who saved the ML by her grace— which includes the easy forgiving trait.

I hadn’t thought of that behavior is Saint like. To me that much is just normal towards someone you care about.
I’m not sure if it’s worth pointing out but she has no direct control over whether he’s punished or not. Also the male lead is in a precarious political position where his entire family is trying to assassinate him. It’s not like he has the authority to enforce punishment on that little brother himself either. If he tried to fight for that right, there’s a good chance his family would use it as a way to get rid of him instead.
But yeah, I could see how frustrating it would be that someone gets away scot-free with attempted murder…

I think, those are exactly why I was expecting the FL and ML to work together to make this young bro’s fiasco their first step to stabilize the ML’s position in the Royals. Because in the past it seems like the attempted murder is done by pawn or vassal (easy to cut the lizard’s tail), and this one time the young bro itself was there to make the killing. So I kinda thought maybe this is the very first step to turn this tyrant energy into more political manoeuvre.
That’s why it frustrates me more when young bro gets away scot-free.
And as I said before, I actually love the FL-ML’s dynamic and comedic. Having this conversation helps me see this manhwa from a different perspective.
