This has the opposite problem of so many dislikable manga I've been reading lately. Most stories will have a cast of completely unlikable or overall too flawed and off-putting characters with the one redeeming character being at the butt of all their assetry, pun intended or not. This is the complete opposite - this manga is adorable, the pacing is nice, the characters are unique and memorable and have chemistry - all except that gotdamn seme! Senpai what's-his-face is the most stupid out-of-touch with himself sociopathic dumbass to take advantage of not only the MC but the whole goshdang story because of all his faults. "Does that make it clear?" Of course it fluffin' doesn't, that's the same thing you've always done, which you yourself admitted to doing before you realized your own feelings! It could've been so easily avoided too, that's what gets me! If it had been subtle, doing the yaoi trope number thirty bajillion of wiping the food off the face and licking it, and then amping it up to a lick /maybe/ and then doing some kind of finishing blow with a kiss and /that's/ when he realizes he's in love, perfect! You got it! Done! Yeah it wouldn't be as smut-fanservicey, but when it's the same scene over and over, it's not fanservice. Not to mention, I personally find it much more gratifying, especially in cutesy manga that's trying to be actually cute, when both people are actively consenting!
Huff. Enough ranting. I love the side characters. Acchan is my son, he's an incredibly good boy and friend, and Mika-chan is an excellent father. Many tears will be shed at Kouta's wedding, probably by her. I will also give this series the one saving grace that almost redeemed it for me - The "ugly" MC is not an outcast!! That is so big!!!! He not only has close friends, but he's offered treats by his fellow classmates and isn't judged for his enjoyment of food as a consistent point of mockery! Bless the death of that horrendous trope, RIP in peace!

So this is where that baseless lie came from! Kids, it's absolutely a falsehood that nipple play arousal = anal play arousal. ...Or maybe that's just me lol
Also, I feel like if this manga were more self-aware, Aki-chan would've been a very good parody of fujoshi culture?? Internalized homophobia, fetishizing and romanticizing the "fantasy" aspects of queer culture, forcing real actual relationships to either fit into her preconceived mold of what should be a "good" relationship or just flat out denying and seeking to destroy the existence of one because it's "gross"....but it wasn't that. It wasn't even a lampshaded version of it. It was played straight, no pun intended. You were so close! And I wanted to much to keep with my trend of liking the female side characters, you broke my streak. I will admit that her sharing her manga with her brother was cute though. Maybe it's because I've got a sibling complex but I could literally never see my siblings as anything but the most adorable and beautiful people, so I always get turned-off by mean sibling chemistry haha

V3.5.5
Okay....Up to this point I was really enjoying myself with these two's chemistry. For as much BL as I consume, very little actually touches on actually Gay or Bi characters, amazingly, so seeing blatantly stated queer characters and the various issues we face in context was refreshing as all get-out. But past a point, it just started to become catty, unnecessary run-around BS of the two emotionally manipulating each other, especially Fumi. Him acting so angry and upset about Shunpei keeping things from him, especially the comparatively harmless meeting of an ex, that he didn't even intend to, all the while he himself keeping a very direct and serious threat of romantic interest that his boyfriend specifically asked him not to involve himself with and /he himself sought out/ even if it was under duress.... It was stupid and only serves to make him look manipulative AF. He had already been proven wrong! He had no reason to hide it, and yet he absolutely blew up in Shun's face about his secret-keeping, while Shun lightly reprimanded him but mostly /reassured/ him! No! He needs to be called out for his bull, Fumi was comparatively much more in the wrong.

Glad to see this is still an abusive relationship. No, wait. No I'm not.
You don't deserve a "reward", Minjae was obviously uncomfortable and distressed, and it was your decision to quit smoking, *for his sake!* in the first place. At least Kiseon is sadistic enough to dole out some much-needed punishment, even if he's on the bad end of the scale. Although compared to everyone else, he's practically a saint.
I'm crying, I'm such a sucker for sweet confessions and these two are so cute and sweet and wonderful. I'm so happy
