What's up with those people in the comment section labelling diesel as a traitor? All I can see is him being loyal to Yanek to the point that he is willing to be dragged down in this mess and follow Yanek wherever he might end up to. Maybe for Diesel, somehow he thought that's what love is. Or better to put it at, that's he's way of showing he's gratefulness to the other.
Then there comes Ein who he can't figure out and who's presence have grown on him even in his dog form or in human form. I guess, even before this mess between Yanek and Ein's happens, there will be an unknown force for Diesel that will always pull him towards Ein. And that could lead to something like a mere curiosity, maybe attraction or could be love.
