I think you guys forgot that Mr Cha did try to distance from Heeseo BUT the kid raped him and wouldn't leave! He has his own issues too and probably finds it difficult to stick to a plan or ask for help. Do you know victims like this in real life remain victims cos they don't know how to handle stuff like this, instead offering assurances or try to be more understanding. I don't know man, I'm considering dropping this. I've seen some spoilers and I can't stand love triangles like this! I was really rooting for Jo in the first season but it seems at the start of season 2 (the spoilers i've seen), he's been pushed back. Like the other two are still in love. I mean, I don't want to force the MC, but like, why make me/us root for Jo so much when he's going to be treated like that? I can't take this angst. Ugh

exactly this. the tug of war between familiar toxic love and new refreshing love has equal balance making it SO annoying when both the leads get attention. clearly one is an unhealthy attachment while the other is a blooming romance, but the author is pushing for tj and jo so much harder
