it was so secretive like i could not guess anything by it?? was the person he made a promise with a past lover??? and what does a work promise have to do with getting a new lover? the flashback seemed to show that the other person wasnt good enough at their job, whereas both the main characters are, so being in love wouldnt get in the way of their work
if sleeping together and flirting doesnt get in the way of doing a good job, i dont see how being romantically involved would too
