I do not think it makes sense to hurt Sumin. Although she knows that Sumin is Seju's weakness. But a professional killer knows, she will not commit unnecessary crimes. Why should she reproduce the error? Anyway she was paid to hurt only one person. If she deliberately killed two people, she only left more traces. And make it easier for the police to track down and arrest her. Agree, there's no way Sungji will die. The assassin was hired to kill or at least hurt/scare Seju so her brothers can take over their father's money and control the entire corporation. To do so, Seju may stay alive, but she has to go. First choice was to kill her. That didn't work so next step might be to simply scare her off by hitting the only thing she cares for (if we can call "obsession" like this) which is a human being, Sumin. I'm sure she won't end up dead, but if she starts to get threats (which I think is too late for that) or something happens to her (more probable case scenario), Seju might realize she has to let go of her and fly away. IF she really loves her, of course. By doing it, it gives TG a partially open ending for all of the characters to return to face Seju's brothers sometime in the future in either a sequel or via spin offs which are planned already.
