To be more in dept, according to the novel spoilers. FL mom the duchess was the last queen of fairies. To escape the torment/experiment she use her magic and time travel to the future where she met the duke and had kids. While she was pregnant with FL,she realized that she can’t stay in the future because she doesn’t belong there so she faked her death and went back to the past, thus giving birth to the FL in the past hence the weird age gap FL has with her older siblings
