One of my favorite things about this series is that I really can't think of anything to compare it to.
The one trope it does follow though is that I found the 2edary couple more interesting.
I don't care if this series never ends. I wasn't exactly reading this hoping for a bunch of short oneshots with happy endings. May the journey be long & the destination far away.
I almost feel like I'm supposed to bad for laughing at that bride omake at the end of 17.5, but that ws funny as hell.
She never finished Shades Captor before starting Circle. It's just reminds me of how CLAMP never finished X1999 or Gouho Drug. Judging by the angry comments on her Weibo & 2 unfinished series in a row, I don't think she will start anything new for some time.

I'm going with a restaurant owner who owed someone bad a lot of money & was either set up for a crime he didn't commit, or agreed to take the fall for someone else's crime to pay off his debt. Maybe he didn't pay protection money to the mafia, or maybe he was a gambler who never paid back a loan shark.
