Being honest, I am not sure 100% about my sexuality, but I have been asking myself the same questions as you, but I didn't hate or think that gays were rare. Before I watched my first yaoi, I didn't care about LGBT community, I only let them be free and live their lives as they wanted. In this case I don't like the uke because: he was homophobic, I don't like people who criticise a person because of his/her sexuality, if you are straight ok, but don't make LGBT people suffer; and second, If I am not wrong (correct if I am), the uke hated the seme since the moment in which he told him that he was bisexual. If a friend tell you that he/she is bisexual it doesn't mean that he has a crush on you, he/she tells this because he/she trusts you. This is what I think. ^^
