it's not that simple or easy to accept and overcome internalized homophobia

that sounds kinda ignorant,, like you can't expect someone to just simply be okay with homosexuality because they think they're homosexual and think that they might be in love with the same sex. in his past, he has already brought himself to hate homosexuals and if you think its that easy to get over it then why dont you try being in the same position? sometimes it might take years to finally realize, "wow, im actually gay even though im homophobic" and they still might not want to admit it. people nowadays in america sometimes grow up in an enviorment where they're christian and some/most christans are homophobic (my classmates are homophobic), so they can't admit that they're gay because of that. when they do, they probably would go into a state of shock or denial and would try to pretend like they aren't. of course, ken will realize one day, but don't make it seem like it should happen just like the snap of the fingers. just because he kissed kirara and protects him doesn't mean that he'll accept it. i dont understand your logic lol ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I think it's more like the spirit Kousuke is his actual personality, without embarrassment or a filter. When he's human, he becomes conscious of the way he acts and how Yuuji is feeling, so he behaves more gentle.
