The fish is 19 years old so dw he’s an adult. They explained that they made him a student cause he’s pretty much learning stuff about the land walkers. Since the sea ones have a completely different perspective and environment. Ig it was the quickest way as well since he also doesn’t know how to speak and he just learned how to walk, I’ve read up ahead on some rlly scuffed translations and it wasn’t bad and kinda entertaining in a funny way

idk the other characters were 17 and during ghe story they both aged up and theyre 18 now, still yeah it kinda bothers me anyway but not that much, also i think this is a chinese story
