Taekjoo is bruised everywhere, and even though the body language is "subtle", you can clearly see that he's afraid. I'm not fins of tape scenes, but authors who show how horrible it can br have my respect

For those of you who don't know, a famous poem in Japan basically says that lovers don't need to say, "I love you" to have their feelings conveyed, even a simple sentence, like "The moon is beautiful tonight" is a confession in and of itself. You'll see it across a huge variety of romance novels.

I love how the manhwa has adapted the characters to the novel religiously. But we can definitely see a change in the way Yuder is drawn in the latest chapter right? His hair length and eyes look different, and there seems to be more variation in his expression.

I feel like this is because we're seeing things from the perspective of those who've grown closer to Yuder or the Commander. Because the Commander pays more attention to Yuder around this time and takes considerable efforts to gauge his reactions and read his expressions.

I see a lot of people confused about this, so I figured I'd add in the necessary context.

As per the novel, the idea is that someone from a lower class background would never have the nerve to reject tea offered by their higher ups, especially when pressed. In a strictly hierarchical society, a random citizen with no backing rejecting the Duke/ Imperial family member/ Commander is unheard of. Thus, a boy from the mountains doing this says something about his character, and can also be seen as suspicious/ noteworthy etc.

All those posts you see on the regular, "My wife divorced me out of nowhere ", "I was Blindsided", etc. Look at the huge difference in which they see their married life. She was practically a prisoner, and he thinks all the times he forced her away from friends and family were happy times. There's also that unequal distribution of labour and severe communication gaps.

Everyone surprised by the ML's behavior has to see how so many marriages work. This is a huge problem in real life. In fact, I'm glad to see a representation of such in manhwa.

Somehow I hadn't expected mangakas to give NB people lead roles. Good to see.

Ugh, I'm so sure that ML is impersonating his rwin or something. The vibe is really off here. That dead brother is the first one OP was in love with I think.

A really solid story. Good pacing, character depth, character motivations, art style- I liked all of it. No bull crap rape or tantrums or whatever the fuck haunts most BLs these days

And when he's crying and apologising to you, your first reaction is to fuck him. I don't know why I can't get past that- it's just so dumb??? Makes no logical sense. I know it's yaoi, and I should have expected it, but it's like someone you thought was normal acting deranged out of the blue.
