For example if someone got punched by their friend, anyone would think that the friend who punched is an ass. But apparently in korea, the one who got punched would also be blamed and questioned. "The must've done something to deserve that punch." "Just what the hell did they do to get punched by their friend?"

Ngl, I expected FL to be a bit more quick-witted considering that she worked at the court... She's not dumb per-se but her judgement is a bit biased... She only read 1 paragraph of the novel intro and it was just kinda shocking that she would just blindly believes that the ML is absolutely the serial killer just from that. I mean, ofc he would be the prime suspect when his wife died on wedding night.
But if she worked at the law office reading crime cases as she had claimed, she should've known that suspect is still a suspect and though unfortunate, people sometimes get falsely accused of murder. You still need to see the case as a whole instead eventhough there are some circumstantial evidences that points towards someone cuz they might also be a chance that the prime suspect is being framed and you would lose the real culprit.
Honestly feel bad for ML cuz he looks like he is genuinely falling in love with FL eventho FL secretly only sees him as a murder suspect :( There were some points that he said that doesn't add up if he were the serial killer and FL should've noticed that better lmao (⊼⌔⊼ )

Ofc a suspect is a suspect- you can say that because you're just reading it through a phone screen. FLs life here was on the line. You claim to have empathy for ML- how about some understanding for the FL as well? Is it not human nature to be scared and a bit irrational when faced with your OWN death?
Girl i was just saying. I tried looking at it from her perspective.. Sure, if you knew about a predestined death looming over your back...you could say that any normal human being would have clouded judgement. But as she was supposed to be very familiar with crime cases, it was just a bit off to see her years of experience out the window when it's basic knowledge to not be biased if you are investigating crime cases and murder mysteries. Especially if your life was on the line, mulling over every single possibilities wouldn't hurt.
As I said, it's not like I don't understand her feelings... At first i was okay with her being scared and biased and all and she was also becoming less wary of ML eventually. But then she started being suspicious of ML again when lots of circumstantial evidences pointed towards him, despite her already knowing what kind of person he is.
As an investigator, she should've noticed that if everything is falling into place way too perfectly, that is also suspicious. I don't think she's dumb or anything, I just didn't expect to see her act af if he's already guilty of murder from the start, when it's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.
Still, despite me having empathy for FL or not.. Doesn't change the fact it's a pity for the innocent ML who doesn't know whats happening beyond closed door lol I hope FL will find out the truth soon and just love him back already ˘◡˘
I'm on chapter 15- so I don't know if anything grand happened that shows MLs love for FL. I understand your point. But I feel annoyed- at the ML lol. He seems so juvenile. He agreed to the marriage because of the mines- so wanted to use her. He likes the compliments FL gives him. But always thinks of her as "uncultured". Even was spitting such hateful words at the banquet bcs of jealousy. He didn't even apologise after knowing how wrong he was from his sister.
Frankly, I wouldn't say that the ML is a bad person at all. But I don't like him. I would rather that John becomes the ml. I'm liking the FL a lot bcs generally in isekai story, the leads are like "I'll break off the engagement!" or "I'll run away!". But she's using her previous knowledge to gather evidence instead! So, I guess we'll always have a disagreement lololol You find the ML better and I, the FL ╮(￣▽￣)╭(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Don't worry that's understandable. I was also annoyed at ML at first but we see lots of his persepectives like a chapter or 2 after conflicts that happened. But yeah tbh after reading till the latest chaps, the ML is actually not bad at all. He's passes as a green but he came off as cold at the start cuz he's good at controlling his expression haha but he blushes all the time now lol. Well ngl, i also like FL where she runs away but I don't think that's necessary here after knowing what ML is like
