Hey ok so im rereading this for the first time again and i kinda get the point of some people getting angry about this manhwa
I'm on chapter 38 right now, and its disturbing to read, especially the part when Hesoo tells him they doesn't actually care for him, which is a truly horrible. How the fuck did the author come up with such a plot? But in all honesty, even if the dojin had actually raped him, he still accepted responsibility for being a shitty person and a father. He felt drawn to hesuung in some way and hesuung, or whoever it was, remembered his name. Growing up, he experienced abuse from both of his parents and witnessed his father abusing his mother. berating her for being unworthy. It must have been devastating for him and his pride to be in the exact situation as his mother. He felt scared he doesn’t want to be treated like how he saw in his childhood.

I think mc is still not matured even after experiencing 9 lifes because in those 9 lives she only lived up until she 12 or something. While reading this i can sense how much trauma she received from her last lifes and had lods of issues in so one of them is trust, through having an issue with trust she became selfish abt how she’s worth in the eyes of others and that they would betray her always and forgot that she’s not the only one facing problems. Especially her dad who she views as if his a villain understandable cause in her eyes from the past life he didn’t care about her but for me i truly believe that the father loves her deep down and just wanna protect her. I also have a theory that her dad did stuff(like become crazy or smth) after her death. I may be having a different perspective ant this while reading cause im not really familliar with this like of stories cause most those i read are isekai
idk man... i guess i see your point but i don't really agree since i don't see how she was selfish? her actions make enough sense for most of the story based on her circumstances.
she may not be the only one facing problems but she never specifically acted like she was the only victim either (correct me if i'm wrong), and it makes sense for her to prioritize her own problems too. if you died 9 times in the past (some deaths were painful too, as we can see in chapter 86), wouldn't you also try your best to live while prioritizing yourself?
i also don't think she views her dad as a villain since she clearly tried hard to get closer to him throughout the story, but she does view him as what he is: someone who did not help her when she died 9 times prior. it is clear to us, the readers, that he loves her, but she does not have our perspective of the story and i can see how fragile her trust in him could easily be/become due to her past.
i do think the dad is totally redeemable and i like his character though, i just respectfully disagree with your analysis on the mc

Honestly if only the mc didn’t make sex as a symbol of worship maybe we might’ve have not hated vercion like as the other comment said from idk last week or the last two weeks he really is just trying worship his god who saved him from the terror of life after experiencing all those shit from his childhood. And as a very religious country sex is probably not a famous act as it is adultery which the gods prohibited so its normal that vercion didn’t know that mc was getting hurt. Ofc doesn’t mean its forgivable because other than that vercion was very selfish of having mc for himself only. Anyways i understand how you think of him but ig might as well think abt his side too:) im not saying to not hate him anymore. I don’t like chelsea or whatever her name is its just so random and her personality of just liking nine and not treating melissa the same way gets to my nerves its always like that in manhwa the child taking all the attention of the dad and salty to the mom like why isn’t her personality like little nin (chap 125) i get how melissa is always busy so it normal that nince would be the one that she would become close with but her personality is just a big no for me
