In Korea, people are supposed to give and receive cards with both hands as it is considered respectful. Giving it like that is considered rude and entitled. It's a very dumb thing, especially when you're just paying for your food.
This is true but it's also an old formality. Most ppl (namely younger generations) don't really care anymore. This is meant to be an example of how paparazzi villainize celebrities for things that normal ppl do. It's purposefully ridiculous.
Tho taking and receiving cards with both hands still very much applies when receiving business cards, as that is a professional exchange. I admit that much
