I almost cry when Makoto said in the monologue that he'd stay strong for Haru-chan even though Haru-chan doesn't love him back. This doujin is full of Makoto's emotions toward Haru-chan and for me, this is one hell of a joyride!!

I've been a fan of the novel as well, and on that particular scene where Rin and Makoto saved Haru-chan, Rin witnessed how Makoto cringed with fear to see Haru drowned. It was sweet.
