It slipped my mind that the story began with Akane getting cheated on. She was always valid for feeling a bit jealous but now that I think about it and add the past relationship trauma to it - she’s a saint, damn. She’s trying so hard to be understanding and not let her worries get the best of her and affect their relationship. I know Yamada is a good guy and has no bad intentions but I wish he would be more empathetic towards Akane and tried harder not to give her reasons to feel insecure. Like of course, he can talk to a gamer girl friend, Akane doesn’t mind either. Just tell her that you have such a friend, explain what kind of relationship you have and how you see her, and make some time for Akane too (since it seems like he talked to the girl for hours and didn’t pick up when Akane called). Don’t make her feel like she’s less special to you or you prefer to talk with someone else...

At this point I hope to see him jealous not just cause it’s fun from a girl’s perspective to see that in a romance manga, but so he finally learns how he makes her feel.

…is how much I loved her relationship with the director. Don’t get me wrong, I was rooting for her and ML by the end, I love them together and I love their love. But I’ve seen some panels from the special chapter where she meets the director after some time passes and it seems like an open-ending reunion. Now they are both hurting, they both lost the person they loved. Maybe they will never get over it, they will always be hang up on that love and they will just stay as friends that support each other. Or maybe years will pass, her wounds will heal just like his did and they will end up together? It’s a pretty comforting thought. That there might be happiness for both of them, together, down the line, doesn’t matter whether it’s platonic or romantic. ╥﹏╥

Side note, an hour ago, at chapter 60 I was bitching to my friend about how I have a 2nd male lead syndrome and I want her to be with the director. And by the ending, I’m so sad that these hopes might just come true cause ML FUCKING DIED ON USSS.

We’re all taken aback but intrigued. Like, yeah, it is depraved but somehow …refreshing???
