I don't really into a slow burn, but right now I'm getting tired of sex in just few chapters.
I skimmed the chapters. ML looks like doing whatever he likes and wants to MC and MC with rose tinted glass getting annoyed to ML but keep falling for him. Even if the ML will fall harder to MC and has character development, is his past action will just be brushed off with excuse like its just his personality, now he turn for the better. I wish ML can properly acknowledge his wrongdoing and act upon it with his character development.
I mean, ML chosing to stay by MC side instead of fired him, isn't really godly turning points right?
I'm marinating this, but the update is sooo slooww. This is just another torture for skipping the angst

No words can perfectly describe how beautifully written this story is. I truly love how the author really patient of telling, that make the mystery become ravishingly revealed. Bit by bit of their encounter is just... Godsend.

I try to make events in sequence;
Ryeong as a child met injured adult Paljae. Both having a little adventure until Paljae bring Ryeong back to his dad, then imprisoned. Ryeong grow old, met obsessed noble that killed his dad, a master teach Ryeong into the immortality, the master do something that Ryeong support but caused Ryeong to be accused as murderer, Ryeong live in hide while traveling the world until he then met the dying Paljae. Ryeong cultivated Paljae to grow his body that start from a a child form.
So, Paljae while imprisoned, yearned for Ryeong as the 1st snow always come to Ryeong. Something happened that make Paljae in critical condition that make him met Ryeong in the 1st chapter. Paljae lost his memory, so is Ryeong?
I'm confused about their time in that secluded palace. 100 years ago they're in there, so they actually has met in their adult form. Now in current timeline, they go there again with the same condition; Ryeong got injured and Paljae carry him.
There they get intimate, but Ryeong wanna Paljae to forget because he can't face the child after doing the deed (why tho, it's biological need. I'm sad this is shounenn ai ╥﹏╥)
So who is the child?
Is Ryeong being touchy to Paljae in the current timeline is him reminiscing the memory of what they previously did? So Ryeong's mind now is his mind at that time, not Ryeong with the memory/knowledge of the current timeline?
so to me the author hasn't exactly gotten to explaining the part as to why jae turned into a kid, we're not just at that part of the story maybe
but ive been snooping around the raws and it seems like apprentice ryeong met dying paljae when he was that big fox turtle thing. so i'll try to speculate
ryeongs timeline might go like this
ryeong is abandoned as a baby > dad finds ryeong > ryeong is gone for the whole 6 months thing and meets paljae who was just born into existence > don't know what happened to paljae but ryeong gets exiled and somehow gets to ieodo. > he meets paljae again who's now in child form and without his memories
and for paljae it's smth like this
he's born > he meets ryeong during the 6 months > he's imprisoned > it's assumed he escapes somehow > he's hurt and meets ryeong who's an apprentice now > we dont know what happened here > something happens to him that causes him to become small and lose his memories > he drifts to ieodo and meets adult ryeong

I think I did misread your comment but after rereading it yes it’s correct. Also I think the child refers to young Paljae when he was going through Ryeong’s dream/memories when he was human back when Ryeong was sick. Since during that time Paljae did have an encounter with older Ryeong (during the time when that rich noble was chasing him).
Snooping through the raws,
I'm glad Junhyeong immediately end his regret towards his ex. He didn't just have a talk with her, he properly ensure Uyun that Uyun is the only one for him before meeting her. Then he resolved all the regrets towards his ex gf. They both at that time just can't make the relationship works because they couldn't understand each other's needs. Junhyeong never once want to be back with his ex, he's only feel sorry for being immature at that time.
After the talk, he comes home and have sexy time with Uyun on the chair. They're just unstoppable loving each other.

Yess. Junhyeong truly mature to accept and acknowledge his past immaturity. Uyun also mature for giving Junhyeong the trust and chance he needed. The ex gf trying to act tough at first, but I'm glad she opened up in the end.
Knowing this is a slow burn, I gotta repeat that kiss scene again and again
And those hair tangled together? Oh gosh, they're so perfect.
I love how the reconciliation isn't dramatic like overwhelming emotions and tears. It is simply two person communicate their feelings and gaining understanding of each other's perspective.
