He get away from Taeha because Haewon finally knows it is Taeha who put his life in hell. All that debt, suffering, and misery that seems to know no ending was Taeha's game for Haewon playing Russian roulette like Haewon's dad did to Taeha. Haewon knows now he is just a subject for Taeha revenge as his dad has gone.
Unfortunately he seek protection to a very wrong person. It is like coming to crocodile hole after getting away from shark. Then again, with Haewon knowledge and limited resource, where else can save him from Taeha's clutch? Let's be real here. He can't jump to another sugar daddy and win his protection by charming him using wits. Impossible to happen! Because if it that easy, Haewon won't be living like he did in the first place.
Poor Haewon for his life turning that bad when he didn't have the sin to pay. It was his dad's wrong decision. That one thing for sure. Another thing is for the universe giving Haewon bad fate and bad people like Taeha, his cousin, etc, etc to make his life drown in suffering.
At the end of the day, I hate how the story end with easy redemption from ML. Just a little regret, bickering with MC, then there his happy ending. Marry MC in German and make him his secretary for the business. Ohhh how lovely.
