I just finished reading the novel and omg even though I love Gwen, I really deeply love Amon. He’s such a complex character, but all his decisions are made thinking he’s doing it for Nine’s sake, sadly realizing almost too late that he’s actually breaking Nine… Then the great character development he has as a creature that doesn’t understand human emotions, making an effort to understand just for Nine, it was a beautiful thing to read really

Could you give me like EXTENSIVE spoilers I need to know what happens I love this so far
Basically Amon showed up near Nine's village when he was like 18, Nine was fishing and Amon was resting on a rock near the river. Nine pretty much felt intrigued by Amon's beauty right away and one day he came closer and started talking to him, some days giving him birds he hunted (which Amon ate) and things like that.
One day Amon told him he was sure Nine was his mate, but to become mates, Nine had to die so Amon could revive him. Nine didn't want to die, so Amon told him he could give him time and wait.
Nine had a best friend, he wanted Nine to introduce him to Amon so he could be in Amon's good side as well and earn gold, but Nine wasn’t so sure. Nine's best friend accidentally hurt him and Amon, who was nearby reacted badly, hurting Nine's bf, but not too badly. Nine told Amon to stay away for a while because he needed to think.
Days passed and Nine noticed Amon was no longer in the rock, he literally went away to give Nine space, but near Nine's village there was another village that worshipped Amon badly, like they did rituals and all that. Amon didn't care what they did, because he being a dragon (he is a dragon btw) didn't give a fuck about humans lol saw them insignificant (he only cared about Nine) so whatever his worshipers did he didn't care.
Amon also doesn't understand human emotions, dragons don't have families, so they don't create attachments with anyone other than their mates.
So one day, Amon's worshipers attacked Nine's villagers while Amon was still away. Nine tried to tell them that he was Amon's mate and they were like "yeah right, well if you are he is going to be happy with our gift" basically.
They tortured Nine for days (it's actually described pretty awful) he was stabbed, scourged and etc for days, his friends and family were killed and when Nine was about to day, Amon finally showed up. He pretty much killed his worshipers and put all his attention on Nine. Nine asked him to kill him, so Amon swallowed him and kept him inside for like centuries. Nine was like in a state of sleep inside Amon let's say.
During this time, Amon remembered details of a place what Nine wanted to live in, so that's when he started building that special place for Nine, and that's how Trastasa (I think that's how you write it lol) was born.
When Nine came back, he could still remember everything, the torture and his family, but he tried his best to continue living, he was just very depressed and Amon being a dragon couldn't understand why, he also didn't know what to say or do to make Nine feel better, he was not warm basically.
Nine found a little kid, who became like a son to him, but that kid died and it hit Nine very hard, to the point that he almost started disappearing (that's how dragon mates die when they are no longer happy) so Amon, not knowing what to do, asked the Ilyad (I can't remember if that's their last name) but basically the Olsen family to perform a ritual to erase Nine's memories and he would keep them as important people let's say.
Amon thought that was the best solution.

Ok so, after that it was pretty much the same, whenever Nine would become too depressed, the ritual was performed, because then again, Amon just didn't know how to be loving/empathetic, he just couldn't understand.
That's where Gwen comes in, he is a human mage (a very powerful magician basically) who has lived for around 300 years by the time he meets Nine. He was studying how to kill dragons, because he hates them, finds them selfish and dangerous, but killing a dragon is almost impossible, pretty much only another powerful dragon can kill them BUT Gwen heard from another mage that there was another way, which was by using their mate's blood.
So Gwen starts studying dragon mates, he finds out that dragon mates usually don't live long because they are almost always miserable, being with a creature that doesn't understand their pain or show them real love, so they end up dying.
A little pause here, some chapters are from Amon's perspectives and he also explains that when a dragons mate dies, the dragon goes to a volcano and dips into the lava to also kill themselves, because they basically lose their purpose.
Back to Gwen lol, so he meets Nine and Amon from a distance and notices how sad Nine looks and how disgusted he is by the rituals performed by Amon's priests, and Gwen starts to feel very bad for Nine, until its no longer sadness for him, but also love.
Gwen becomes closer to Nine, and when Nine realizes that Gwen is good, he starts feeling more calm around him. Gwen opens a portal sometimes in Nine's room and they meet in Gwen's secret room and so on, until Nine starts feeling better.
He beco.es more confident and starts asking more things from Amon, he asks Amon if rituals can be stopped, at least some of them, and Amon pretty much let's him know he doesn't care, that Nine can do whatever he wants.
So Nine starts changing things around. He also starts having some progress with Amon, the dragon is starting to try and be more attentive with Nine. Olsen doesn't like this, and he kind of mentions to Amon that Nine and Gwen have a thing. This is after a while though, Gwen and Nine's relationship grow a lot, Gwen is very good to Nine and gives gim confidence, while Nine is also trying to be more brave with Amon and they also have some progress in their relationship.
One day, after Nine and Gwen had sex, Nine comes back to his room and finds Amon there, the dragon starts to finger him and tells Nine that he can smell Gwen inside him. It's a mess, Amon gets really angry and asks Olsen to erase Nine's memories, while he plans on killing every Lesha, including Gwen of course.
Nine is about to have his memory erased, when Olsen tells him that he will let him go, if Nine gives him his blood (priests had the idea that his would give them eternal life) Nine agrees, cuts his arm and runs to stop Amon, threatening the dragon that if he kills Gwen he will kill himself, and puts a knife against his own neck.
Amon is not happy with this, but he agrees not to harm anyone as long as Nine doesn't leave his side.
Lu ended up hurt badly from this thing, and Gwen offers to take him to the labyrinth, a place where mages live. Gwen tells Nine he can also take him, Nine agrees and they leave Trastasa by some magic Gwen used. It's them, Lu and Iwu.
Gwein tells Nine that he can't go outside because Amon will be able to feel him in the sunlight. So Nine spends time with the other three in the labyrinth, he is happy at first, Gwen even creates a puppet of him that works as if it was Ninez so he can take Nine's puppet different places without Nine actually going out.
After a while Nine starts to feel empty and kind of sad, that's where all his memories of what I said in the previous comment come around, and he starts missing Amon more from all the memories he has of him falling in love with Amon when he was younger and met him in the river

Anywaayys, one day Amon shows up outside the labyrinth, Gwen tells Nine he can kill Amon so he can finally be free. Nine is angry at Amon now, knowing how many times his memories where erased without his consent and how he never stopped the rituals, etc, so he agrees on Gwen killing Amon.
Gwen asks for Nine's blood, he hives him some and Gwen goes out to fight Amon.
It is a very strong fight, Amon ends up hurt pretty badly, same as Gwen, and when Nine comes out, he sees Amon's dragon form for the first time, sees Amon is hurt badly and also sees Gwen almost dead, so he starts crying and disappearing because he is heartbroken.
Amon panics, takes Nine and Gwen in his claws and flies back to Trastasa. He takes Nine to the bath and asks the priests to light up incese, while he tries to give Nine blood from his wounds to keep him alive and keeps rocking Nine, asking him to stay alive.
Nine is pretty much in a state of deep sleep while kind of disappearing.
Days pass like this basically, Amon requests that Lu and Iwu be brought to see if maybe by hearing them Nine will stop his disappearing, he leaves the bath so they can be alone with Nine and finds Gwen barely alive. Gwen trashes at him with words, and Amon basically just gives him his blood and asks him not to die, because he now understands that Gwen is important to keep Nine alive.
Nine ends up disappearing, he goes away while invisible to everyone until he reaches the river where he met Amon for the first time, and stays there for a few days.
In Trastasa Gwen, Lu and Iwu are working to make Trastasa a place where Nine would want to come back to. They stop human sacrifices, and make the place more human friendly basically, Amon agrees but he doesn't involve himself much, him and Gwen still hate each other, but for Nine's sake they learn to avoid each other and Amon just let's Gwen do whatever he needs with Trastasa.
Gwen finds Nine at some point, he can't see but he can feel him, that's how Nine comes back to Trastasa.
Amon can see him, he knows Nine is still angry with him, so he just looks from a distance, waiting.
Gwen creates a puppet of a cat that copies Nine's emotions, so while nobody other than Amon can see Nine, they can still see where Nine is and how he feels based on the cat.
Iwu is the cat's guardian, while Lu is now Gwen's pupil, because they realized that Lu had mage blood in him, so he's learning magic (that way he can also live longer and Nine, who is almost eternal like Amon and Gwen, can be at peace knowing thst Lu will stay by his side for a long time) Iwu will also live longer than a normal human, being one of Amon's ex warriors gives him that novelty.
Anyways, Nine sometimes visists Amon, his cat shows his emotions so the cat sits on Amon's lap, but he also is still resentful, so he bites and scratches Amon from time to time. Amon at first doesn't care about the cat, because he can actually see Nine, but when he realizes that the cat shows Nine's emotions, he starts petting it and observing it, trying to understand Nine that way.
One day Nine finally decides to stop being invisible and shows up for Amon, who stay still, it is clear Amon knows nine is angry at him, it is obvious he understands that whatever he does can make Nine disappear again, so he's very careful. He still just doesn't understand human emotions, but he really tries for Nine and that's what I loved to read.
Anyways, Nine keeps living like that, some days he stays with Gwen and he is very happy. And others he goes back to Amon and stays with him.
Amon becomes more vocal, he also pays good attention to Nine's cat to understand his feelings and at some point Nine asks him to try and learn about humans, Amon tells him he doesn't care about humans, that all that matters to him is Nine, so Nine tells him that even though Nine is no longer human, he still has human emotions, and learning about humans will let Amon understand Nine better.
So Amon asks his priests to bring him books to read and understand humans, asks storytellers to tell him stories and so on. He really does become a little bit softer, even though it's impossible for him to actually understand, he really tries.
Thwre are some very cute final chapters for both Gwen and Amon separately in which they are very cutesy with Nine and so on.
That's how the story ends, Nine gets to keep them both amd they are all happy in their own way, because if Amon dies, Nine would die, but if Gwen lives, Nine also lives.

No problem ♡ there is a lot of storm before the calm basically lol like the memories of the kid that Nine adopted and when he dies are very sad. The love-hate between Amon and Nine also takes time. Gwen becomes the focus for a long part of the story and in many things, because he really is what brings life to Nine. Amons parts are more towards the middle and end of the story.
But honestly I feel like the manwha is going fast, so we will probably not need to wait much for all this to happen.

I can't understand the people complaining, first about the pace and then about Sylhan
The pace is perfect, if you want to read an easy story with no interesting plot then go and read any yaoi around that only has seggs and barely any plot. This story is great so far, not everything needs to be solved in 20 chapters.
Second, Sylhan has been told from the moment he lost his memories that he killed his own father, that he can't have shiet because he's a murderer, nobodu has been honest with him and now that he's kind of regaining his memory, still nobody is completely honest and he has to figure everything by himself, he has all the right to say no to more shit coming his way.
