That was only the first version of S2, I recommend reading until ch. 96 and then skip to "season2 chapter1", from that chapter onwards it's the final version of S2

No he didn’t die but he got injured I think? But it was more like they broke up and separated rather than one dying.
This is the only story I've read that shows a sexual abuse victim and another with depression actually receiving therapy for their traumas, and even though the story is obviously still super exaggerated in many things, I will be forever grateful to the author for that
I already know the ending and it sucks lol obviously I thought it would happen because this is a fucked up story, but still I was disappointed

"Ikuro ends up with Norihiko, and they're in a small house, with Ikuro being in the role Ranzo once had, and Norihiko being Ikuro and Ranzo's father. The scene that Ikuro once witnessed as a child, (Ranzo being the mantis who was eating their father alive), Ikuro is now the mantis, eating Norihiko. (Not real cannibalism.)
I'm not 100% sure but the way I see it, when they use the term "being eaten", it's the way he witnessed Ikuro and Ranzo's father being so obsessed with Ranzo's beauty that he spends day and night with him like a crazed man, and since he could never have his father's love and obsession like that, he makes Norihiko the one he eats. Ikuro has never gotten over the lack of love from his father, the unfairness in attention. Now he has someone who can give him that, and he willingly becomes the mantis who eats Norihiko."
So yeah, no happy ending (which was expected) but pretty much the pattern just never breaks

That's actually a solid ending for a fucked up manga
I am really heartbroken by this. It’s a fitting ending but it sickens me to my core. Terribly sad and a tragically beautiful story that I will not finish and will never read again. Thank you.
