On another note does anyone else dislike when the FL just treats the world as a game? Like sure you can assume its a world based on the game, but youve been transported into that world, the characters respond to you dynamically, have emotions, are sentient-it always rubs me the wrong way when the story focuses on stats and gaining interest from the ml

Well, I usually hate it when an isekai FL does it, but I understand the FL here. She becomes a cold person thanks to her childhood, and she doesn't have the luxury to think about others when she knows she could die anytime if she takes the wrong step, that's why she focuses in their numbers. She had played the games too many times only to die easily in all the LIs' hands, it's understanding that she becomes so anxious. She's just desperate not to die, so she had to think strategically. It's not even the isekai novel world where she can just change the future, the world is controlled by the game's system that even her body is often taken over, keeps on reminding her it's a game which involves her life and death. Also she sympathizes too much with the real Penelope that she bears resentment to some extent to the Duke's family, and finds it hard to accept the Duke's kindness because she thinks it's too late, the real Penelope is no longer exist, and also feels bad to be the one to accept it.

Anyone else not enjoy 704 and geumsun? I feel like we're lacking San and Eunjoo (is that the right name?? lol)
Like theyre the top tier pairing, 704 and geumsun just make me depressed :/
I want the fluffy relationship, not angst and consent issues (╯>Д <)╯╧╧

All 4 characters are technically the MC. Eunjae just happened to be the first one we met. He’s one of my favourites though because I like how the surfer portrays mental health I want to see him get help . He said he probably would have committed suicide if not for San so I’m worried how San not being around is gonna hurt him ╥﹏╥

That is true! I always use MC as the MAIN MAIN character, as in the first one to pop up and got the most screen time. But you are definitely correct in the literal sense.
But yes! Exactly! Like, they said if San is erased from existence then eunjae will forget him, right? Well, that means that eunjae will be back in the same horrible mental health state as before and will most likely commit suicide.

You're right, but also not. Eunjae and San are the MAIN pairing, being the pair described in the summary. The other pair are secondary protagonists, who's focus grew in the second season.
And I agree, I loved how his issues were portrayed and explained, his and San's relationship was/is so cute, while still managing to bring in interesting angst through their respective pasts. Geumsun and 704 just dont do anything for me, they're so bland and uncomfortable. I dont see the chemistry. I miss when they were truly secondary~

I know. Honestly I stopped reading at ch 67 and keep waiting for the comments to give me the ok because if this has a bad ending I will not be able to handle it. Like, I read comics for a happy ending, no matter how morbid the comic, to escape pain like cmon man gimme a break LOL I just want them to end up okay

Why does everyone hate the hair ornament guy he didnt do something that bad lol

Maybe, but I think more people sympathized with her than with him especially since we're reading her from her perspective. It also doesn't help that we meet him as a complete stranger as opposed to her brother's friend. Even if her reaction was a bit too much, I would also say his teasing went a little too far.
Who gave them the right to be so hot
