here's to hoping that huan wen and yuan will somehow be together in the extra chapters

I feel like Huan Wen and Yuan won't end up together. It's like the meeting of Huan Wen and Yuan is designed so Huan Wen will be true to himself like Yuan is the key to Huan Wen's self acceptance and also the reason why Huan Wen's decision will be accepted by his grandfather.

If you observe closely the interactions between Huan Wen and Yuan, you can clearly see that Yuan is only being friendly towards Huan Wen. Since Yuan used to be some sort of outcast during middle school and has low self-esteem, he is the type of person to treasure his friends so much. This could be the reason why Huan Wen fell for Yuan. But to Yuan's perspective, he's only doing what he thinks a true friend would do for a friend. This is a one-sided love for mah boi Huan Wen.

And also, not once we see that Yuan get flustered or he saw Huan Wen in a different light, it's always Huan Wen who's always looking at Yuan.

In chapter 132, I think the second thing that Huan Wen really wants to say is that he likes Yuan but stops when he saw Yuan's reaction when he said he's gay. And Yuan probably knows that Huan Wen is describing him when he asked Huan Wen for his type. But when he said something along the lines of 'tell me if you find someone like that' that's when Huan Wen realized he doesn't have a chance to Yuan because he's straight. That's why moments later Huan Wen cried and all that Yuan could do is hold his hand silently with a frown on his face as if saying 'I'm sorry I can't return your feelings'

If it does come to that, the author probably wants to say to us that not everyone we meet will stay in our life, but sometimes we meet people so they can teach us something in our life (in this case, Yuan helping Huan Wen accept himself) and i think that's beautiful :)))

BUT! If I am wrong and author whips up something for Yuan and Huan Wen, my fujo heart will definitely happy

Other interpretation for chap 132:
Yuan has feelings for Huan Wen but isn't confident that he'll be enough for him that's why he lowkey rejected him that way and when Huan Wen cried, he held his hand silently and somehow felt sorry but he thinks it's the right thing to do.
