Iirc it's because the guitar that was Yuki's was "given" to Mafuyu and Mafuyu always felt like that was also Yuki "giving" him music and a way to go on without him (and also I guess keep Yuki with him, since music is the only way he feels he can continue to communicate with Yuki)
