I cried so much. In 2023, I didn’t even want to read this because I had the impression that this story was toxic and because I didn’t like the historical genre, but my expectations was the opposite, it was a beautiful story with the sweetest couple who were willing to give their life to each other. The story being all sweet with a looming dark theme into it, is such a great plot.
Though for every 5/5 ratings of webtoons, I always write out a kind of essay and I think this actually deserves it. It took me into various emotional rollercoaster where I was angry, happy, blushing, saddened, crying and because of it, I became attached to the characters and their feelings. I also fairly enjoyed the calm before the storm and the storm being in chapter 67 or somewhere close.
My only complaints about this is: We should’ve seen every couple! And why did BWAT have to draw out their deaths?! I was literally crying so much at the side stories! Their sufferings were not deserved! My poor babies! Like it should not be too detailed, but at the same time I liked it. I also liked how they will always find each other in every lifetime and that is so poetic!
This is the first masterpiece I had read for the year 2025 and I wish we got to see more of them in their reincarnated versions. LIKE GIRL MAKE IT A SLICE OF LIFE!! And where is Muhu and white haired guy’s story!! We need a continuation of them!
