If all series ended the moment the characters get together, then billions of series would be over by now. Idc what they do together once Chase is an adult, and Joel stops being a shit father.

CBAW season 2 didn't have much plot line tho imo, it's all just sex sex sex fanservice with minor make-up drama to drag the plot, the moment and friends the mom acknowledged, it cud be finished, but then the ex came, the grandpa came, ppl who didn't make any impact from the start suddenly showed up to play the more the merrier..
But this one, even with only 4 characters, has ton of realistic issues that can be explored further...they don't even need to bring new characters and just focus on mending these four guys

Yeah realistic? What are the chances of something like this happening - much less chances than the other plot lines. Also there’s absolutely no reason why all these problems are keep getting dragged on and on. These problems existed way before and it’s still not fixed lol - it’s like any Chinese manhua where the answer is obvious but they don’t even bother fixing it. If the plot is going to make them eventually fix it anyways unlike irl where they break up, why keep dragging it @-@ at least in Cherry Blossoms after Winter their problems were easily fixed after the characters had the friggin guts to actually TALK

I'm not leaving. I am here for Jesse and Andy. The author clearly paints Joel as a trash father. Joel said it himself in Chapter 40. What amazes me is that there are still people who thinks Joel x Chase is a good idea.

Please think from joel's point of view for once .. would you accept your ex's 11yrs old child after 12yrs , that woman didn't even tell him she was pregnant, ran away and gave birth by herself, with her own choice.. didn't even take this decision discussing with joel.. didn't even gave him a chance... And you really think joel knows what parenting is like?? Joel himself was an orphan his whole life... And out of nowhere you dump a 11yrs old kid on him.. you expect joel to act as any other parents?? If it were me i would have been in the same mess as him.. he tried hard to be a dad even after knowing nothing about parenting or raising a child.. he sucked it up and still trying.. saying he's a trash dad is something i don't agree with.. there are dads that abuse their children and does much more unbelievable things like verbally abuse them.. joel is a far better dad than those ones.. nobody can change my mind on that!!

Joel is far better than abusive dads - but he comes nowhere near what a normal dad would do. I was adopted at 7 years old and my older brother at 16. My adoptive dad took care of us well even though we were older in age and he had absolutely no experience parenting- even more so he had no obligation to take care of me because he wasn’t even my real birth parent.

You say he tries but what part of it is trying if all you do is just but him some food and leave your kid alone for half a month???

So it is ok to starve to death , abandon his job as a police officer+ detective just to wipe a 18yrs old adolescent's ass ? Do you have any idea what police officer's job is like?? And more than that jesse is old enough to take care of himself.. he just craves for extra attention which i would say joel couldn't give because he was never meant to be a dad material in the first place... But that doesn't mean he didn't try.. of course he tried but he never knew how to do it in the right way...

Okay so maybe Joel is not the worst father out there. He could be worse. He gets brownie points for trying. But that excuse may have worked when he was younger. We can all make a pass for being young and stupid. But he is an adult. Almost 40 at that. How long is he going to be an incompetent father? He doesn't even have to act like a father. At bare minimum, he just needs to care. Care enough to not just leave after dropping off some food. He even went to Chase first, as if Jesse was an after thought, and gave Jesse and Andy the rejected chicken. Until when is Joel going to get a pass? Is Jesse, the teenage son, supposed to be adult and try to understand his father? You don't even treat your friends or co-workers like that. I am not a parent but I sure do not treat my family like that. He doesn't need to be a father to Jesse to have a relationship with him.

In page 8 of chapter 39, the author explicitly stated, "Are you crazy? Why would I date my son's friend?!" and "Do you think I'm a piece of shit who goes for young boys?!"

So basically you mean he is an adult now so he is obligated to be a good great father suddenly who has experience with parenting!? Just because he is an adult? And where do you think joel should learn that from? He is just aging thats all, doesn't mean he's getting any parenting experience... And why are you judging his whole character from a single chapter where joel was actually pissed because he doesn't have a single person who understands how much he's suffering!!?? Chase is the only person who really cared for him (may it be as a love interest) ... How much jesse did? Jesse doesn't even care enough to try and be a little understanding with his father which only makes him a brat.. furthermore he never saw joel as his father, he calls him by his name , told everyone that joel is his brother.. jesse is thoroughly embarrassed to even tell anyone about their relationship.. joel is also deprived of a son's love and respect for his father which he actually got from chase.. so why won't joel care more for chase?? You tell me.. some of you readers are so freaking biased towards the main characters to the point you can't seem to see right from wrong.. I won't say jesse isn't suffering because of joel's lacking care but that doesn't mean joel isn't suffering either!!

I mean he should know better. He has now more life experiences under his belt. He is now more equipped to adapt and cope with the situation. Again, you don't have to be a parent to be a decent human being capable of caring and loving. It is something very basic regardless of age or gender.

There must be a point in your life where you man up and take responsibility for your actions. He cannot forever blame it others or other external factors acting as if he is a victim of his circumstances. Until when is he going to be a victim of his circumstances?

I am an ARMY and I get that some people aren't fans, but they don't have to hate and talk badly about people who are actually fans and would like to express their opinions.

The thing that annoys me it's not the armys, it's just the comparing by itselfs. It's just uncomfortable to see people comparing between two different things because they thing their idol is everywhere. Of course you can love your idol, but please don't compare your idol to everything that you see.
