Lmao, all these comments complaining about this story it's porn with plot. No need to take it seriously.
I thought I was having a stroke or something when reading that summary
The math isn't mathing? If it's been 10 years, and Shun was in a daycare, then he is like 16 at the beginning of the manga, no? Kids are in daycare till like the age 6. Which makes MC suuuper sus for doing it with a kid.... Unless the mangaka either miscalculated, or thought that 10+ years is as good as 10. After all, Shun drank with everyone, and no one wondered about an underage kid drinking.
On another note, I already thought that MC was beyond disrespectful for still wearing the ring when they got officially together, but then in the end he was still wearing it 2 years into the relationship, and on top of it all, he got Shun a matching ring to his own?? Instead of a new set?? Dude. Like, Shun has the patience of a saint, because I sure as hell would have been pissed if my SO still wore a ring a week into our relationship.
I had to take a break, drink my tea, and eat a snack, because of the secondhand embarrasment but other than that, this one seems promising
The ML is getting worse and worse. He is insane. At this point i'm only reading to see the end, I don't bother getting into the story, because it will just piss me off. Altough it already pissed me off since the second arc, ML went cuckoo pretty early. I feel bad for MC who is only doing his job
Hyo-un shows no mercy if this wasn't basically pure porn as far as I'm concerned, I would have noped out already, dude just doesn't know what a "no" means
They are way too cute, this deserves a longer manhwa
MC is acting rn like an IQ in two digits range is unattainable
Lmao, this is hilarious i'm legit laughing every chapter, I don't even care that it's very slow burn so far
I would love to know what Seo thinks about his new friend with benefits. After all, he was just rejected not too long ago by someone he liked, even if the whole situation was effed up
I stopped reading at chapter 6, when the ML dropped the line " don't try to become independent from me"
So I'm at chapter 10, and I'm already sad that Linden is just the second male lead. The moment I saw him, I liked him a lot. I mean, what's better, than a soft puppy-like handsome man? I would be 1000% onboard if he were the main lead. And so far, he has much more presence and interaction with FL than the ML has. I think, I will just drop this manhwa...I don't like it, when I like the second male lead so much more.
Ngl, I don't get the hate the characters get I think that their relationship was pretty dinamic. MC got a crush on ML, and it was established since the start, that after that letter scene, both of them were aware of this. Their whole relationship was built on the fact, that ML knew, and MC knew that ML knew. So MC never hid it, and showed his feelings through his actions, and occasional hints in his words, however he never said anything outright, because hello!!!, ML isn't in love. It would have been stupid to just confess outright, when MC is in the middle of courting ML.
Fr, people, have you never seen someone actively flirting and trying to seduce another person into liking them? That's what MC was doing this whole time. And it was clearly working, as ML started feeling the same. It was shown well in the manhwa. Sure, I didn't like the fact, that he asked MC to sing a courtship song when he didn't feel anything for him yet and literally likened MC to a tree (lmao), but in the end, MC could have easily refused, yet he didn't. He drew a clear line by not doing it in his true form, but he wasn't exactly strongarmed into it.
And yes, it was wrong of ML to not say the truth. But c'mon. Nobody is perfect, and let's be real, will you tell any random person (and someone who is a strict person in charge on top of that!), that you are basically an undercover agent, gathering information? Of course not. Yes, he should have told MC after they became intimate the first time, but if you put yourself in his shoes, you would understand, why he would be reluctant. It's difficult to come clear. And he was preparing this whole time, for MC to come with him home, so eventually he would have fessed up, even if MC didn't question him first. On top of that, he was feeling sick and muddled at the time, because he was hit with the double-whammy of pre-molting and the mating season. He talked about how he was often out of it, and he felt really bad physically too. Remember, he even fell out of the tree. And that was even before the were intimate, so dude had his brain pretty cooked at the time.
Is it an excuse for his wrongdoings? No. Does it make him more real, and more understandable? Yes. That's the beauty of wellmade characters, they aren't perfect, and have the faults any person can have.
On to the argument and then the cocoon scene. As I said, dude had his brain cooked, and then he got really upset when MC questioned him, then he and MC got injured. Dude was really desperate and not thinking straight when he showed up at MC's place. It wasn't surprising that he said some nonsense. And then he even entered his molting period too. As for the sex - yes, MC refused at first, but that was only because he wasn't sure, if ML wants it, because it's his mating season or not. That's it. Otherwise he was completely on board. I hate rapey sex too, and I can't stand it when one party constantly says "no" and is not listened to, but this was far from that. Dude was, at this point, already hopelessly in love with ML. He had no problem being intimate with him reviously either.
I think, that this manhwa showed the progress of their relationship pretty well. It first established their feelings properly, sprinkled in some spice, cleared the misunderstandings, feelings got discussed, and only then did they have sex. Like, fr, at this point both MC and ML was planning on living together in the future. The ML started thinking of the MC as being the same as a tree or a rock, and then was already planting a whole ass forest, just to make his beloved happy and comfortable if(when) they end up living together, before they even had sex. And MC already decided to quit military and follow ML to wherever he ends up in, even if he hoped that they could stay near the training facility. What more do you want? They only needed to get on the same page, which they did.
As for the other characters...while I don't like redhead, he does actually have a complex character. He cares for MC, and always looked out for him in the military (he took over the work MC was not comfortable with), he has a reason to hate serpents, but even so he is just as hard on the avian cadets, and he is greatly influenced by his guilt towards MC's loss of wing. Yet in the end, he decided to not stop them and let MC and ML leave, when he saw that MC is happy to do so. Redhead isn't just onedimensional. Hint: just because you dislike a character, it doesn't mean that he is badly made.
The dad is also wellmade. In fact, only the mob characters, who don't matter too much in MC's and ML's relationship, are the ones who are a bit more bland. Mostly the cadets. But that other instructor also has a bit more personality, even if his presence is minimal.
All in all, while these characters are far from perfect (as they should be), they are well made, and I like the relationship between the couple.
So I'm still reading it, at chapter 52, but man, i'm in tears from laughter my man legit said "Hyuntae, you look like your refrigerator would only have water in it". Like, why would you insult him like that?

Let me guess... ML will start making the orb, meanwhile the obsessed king finds MC, and since ML can't use his powers while making the orb, MC ends up dying, and since carrying the orb on his own is a great burden, ML gets ill, loses memories and falls into a coma.
Altough I don't really see, how MC can have descendants with ML as their guardian... All MC's family is dead, I really doubt that either the king or the ML would let him have a wife and kids, and even if we assume that today's family are the descendants of the king (after all, he and MC are distant family), why would ML be their guardian? Unless ML finds like a long lost sister or nephew or something.
And I bet, that the king, who is clearly reincarnated as MC's older brother, will be a major pain in the ass in the present world. I didn't like him since the moment he appeared, he has the typical slimy villain attitude.
One thing I like about this manhwa, is that the fight looks visually underwhelming. There aren't these big, fancy visual effects; no one is hitting with earth-shattering power, only for the enemy to get up like nothing; they don't look like they are doing acrobatics or gymnastics midfight.
Real fights are visually very underwhelming compared to the fancy bullshit you get in media. Yes, the fancy bs looks cool and is entertaining. But it's so widespread, that I can really appreciate combat that looks more realistic.
As for wether it looks like this deliberately or if the artist just lacks the skills to draw the fancy bs, is another question.
