The tone of the story has kind of shifted from serious/mysterious to fun/comedic. It takes away the uniqueness this story had from the others where an unremarkable worker gains a power that propels them into the best at their craft.
Either way, I still stay eating up all the stories like that so I'll continue loving this one. (=・ω・=)

With this context of the gang member asking Matthew to keep Jin from fighting I can understand why he used the sedative to keep Jin there for 4 days.
Jin would have immediately thrown himself back into that mess as soon as he was coherent and they are all afraid he'd end up dead if he kept doing that so I kinda get Matthew's drastic actions.
Still, you should never drug your partner (even if you believe it's to save them) so Jin's mistrust of Matthew is valid as he did betray his trust. Matthew should have come up with a better way to keep Jin out of the gang war is all.
Why did you even try writing a development for redhead just to devolve into this...
The thing is he didn’t really have much development. He still hadn’t taken accountability for the ways he hurt eunoh. If anything his apology at the beginning of the chapter would have been a major step in his development. Since during it he acknowledged he had hurt eunoh. But he showed he didn’t care and wasn’t genuine by doing literally the exact same thing.
The development I was referring to was us understanding why he was being such an ass and how it seemed like he was taking steps to change his actions but what he did after the apology was like a punch to the gut. I guess the author is probably going to do the 'I was drunk and not in complete control route' but I don't see how they can even continue their friendship now
I see what you mean, though they were very minor steps to change and more seemed like there was potential for him to improve.
rlly hope the author doesn’t try to excuse this. He was also drunk in the car scene so we’ll see
Yes, he needs to do some major grovelling so they can atleast maintain their friendship... any chance of a relationship is nonexistent atp
